Nurses are caring and very professional. They know their stuff, but still treat you like one of their friends

I had a wonderful experience at the hospital with the staff during the day. The night shift, however, was far below my expectations. I don't feel they were adequately staffed and my second night post-op, my pain was allowed to get completely out of control. No response for an hour and 10 minutes on the call light. I would still recommend the hospital, but would STRONGLY suggest that you have a loved one stay overnight with you.

My first impression of Dr. Keith at my initial seminar was that he was very honest. Almost blunt. But that was a good thing, he didn't pull any punches and you knew exactly where you stood with him. From day 1, he's been very forthcoming about what to expect. Everyone in his office is exceptional, they are friendly and helpful even with the littlest problem or concern. Their program is set out in a step-by-step fashion that is so easy to follow, starting with the dietician and psych consult, through to the PT eval and through to surgery. Aftercare is detailed in a way that's not confusing, and they don't just leave you out there after surgery to figure it all out yourself. I was very apprehensive about this whole experience at the beginning, but Dr. Keith and his office staff have made everything so easy, I easily give him a big, FAT 10!

I first saw Dr Keith at his seminar on Jan 30th. He really seems to know his stuff. I had my initial consultation with him on Feb 15th, and he was very professional. The staff was very helpful and so far are first rate. He is very concerned about the patient and not just about the money. I am scheduled for a lap rny on march 6th.

Dr. Keith did a complete take down of my RNY gastric bypass surgery on November 19th, 2007. What can I say about him? Wonderful! I was so scared, I had been through so much pain from the original RNY (which Dr. Keith did NOT do on me) and had so many medical problems, Dr. Keith made me feel safe. He gave me hope at the end of a dark tunnel. rnrnThe Surgery itself went well. Recovery time in Norman Regional was hard, there was alot of pain. The day or surgery I weighed 118 pounds. Today, I weigh at just 105, BUT I feel better then I have in two years. Even with a feeding tube still inserted into my stomach, I feel better. the only foods, and I do mean the ONLY foods I was able to keep down before was Milk and Yogurt. Since my surgery, I have been able to keep down mashed potatoes, cream soups, water, tea and crystal lite. Not once have I thrown up violently, as before the take down surgery, I as throwing up on a daily basis.rnrnI am weak, sore and worn out...BUT... I know very soon I will be able to eat more healthy foods that my body will not reject and I will be able to gain the 30+ pounds I need to gain to be healthy.rnrnIf it were not for Dr. Keith, I honestly believe my life would have been a very short one. With so many hospitalizations because of the severe weight loss, I feel as if my life was slowly drifting away. I now have hope, I now have joy in my life. I am looking forward to the day I can eat REAL food and keep it down, looking forward to a healthy, happy life with my husband, children and grandchildren.rnrnDr. Keiths staff are the most amazing women I have ever met. Kind, considerate and very informed. I do not believe I have ever been treated so kindly by any Physicians staff. Not once have they made me feel uncomfortable. Very professional and very well liked. I feel very blessed to have found Dr. Ronnie Keith, he has literally saved my life.rnrnIf anyone is contemplating surgery with him, I highly recommend him. He's as good as it gets! He doesn't mince words, he's honest and open. He will discuss anything with you openly and honstly regarding the bypass surgery. With Dr. Keith, you're not just \"another patient\". You are a human being who is treated with respect and care.rnrn********************************rnrnFor those who are having problems finding Dr. Philip Floyd, please email me as we have found a phone number and address for him. OR log onto our website. Thanks!rnrnwww.gastricbypassrny.comrnrnJust copy and paste into your browser.rnrn*********************************rnrnDecember 28th 2007rnrnDr. Keiths office called me the day after Christmas and asked if I would be willing to come in today to have my feeding tube removed. Of course! I got there, and the staff was just as friendly and gentle as ever. I saw Dr. Keith in passing only as his nurse removed the tube, but he gave me a large smile and hello. The more visits I have to make to Dr. Keith, the more one actually feels like family to them, not just another patient..another number. His office girls and nurses are the very BEST I have ever come across. On a scale of 1-10, I give Dr. Keith and his office staff and nurses a big 20! They are fabulous!!rnrnI have already recommended Dr. Keith to 3 different ladies who want the RNY done. He is wonderufl, he really is. Like I said before, without Dr. Keith performing the reversal of my gastric bypass, I don't believe I would have lived another two years. God Bless Dr. Keith!
