Dr. Nelson is an excellent surgeon, professional, and very kind. My positive impression of her has only increased as I have gone through my surgery and am now in post op follow-up. She was up front, honest, very knowledgeable and caring. Pre-op teaching, after care and patient follow-up were strongly emphasized and are carried out in an organized and personalized manner. All the risks of surgery were explained both in oral and written fashion. I had absolutely no qualms about having Dr. Nelson do my surgery. I am so happy with my choice of surgeon and I can highly recommend her to anyone. She is associated with a Bariatric Center of Excellence and it certainly was apparent. I would rate Dr. Nelson an A+ for her surgical skill, bedside manner, and professionalism.

So far, I have only met with Dr. Keith once, at my initial consult. Which was great. He was honest, straight-forward, and down-to-earth. I have had more contact with the others members of his staff, and I have been more than impressed. Everyone has been helpful and friendly. I never felt uncomfortable or rushed. rnrnOn a side note, I would like to add a strange compliment. As a former sales person, I notice customer service wherever I am, especially when people have complaints. There was a lady and her husband in the office the other day who were, unfortunately, very rude to the office staff and made comments to each other that were offensive to me and anyone else who could overhear them (the whole office). The woman was in for a surgery other than the wls, and they were talking negativity about overweight people. The staff handled their behavior in a very profesional way, going over and above to satisfy them when they were being unreasonable. Dr. Keith took to the time to call on the phone from wherever he was (he was out of the office) and speak to the woman to answer the questions she was barating his staff with. rnrnI was very impressed and I wanted to share. Dr. Keith and his staff are more than professional and I know I made the right choice.
