Morristown Memorial Hospital Hospital
I thought they dealt with bariatric patients very well. The equipment, knowledgable staff about the surgery and their procedures as well. My only complaint was my second day nursing team. The two nurses I had immediately after surgery were WONDERFUL. They checked on me constantly, talked to me about my surgery and made me feel that they actually cared about me. Both ladies even gave me a hug good bye and wished me well. From that point on though I was ready to go home. No one seemed to be around; my IV battery was constantly going off and I spent the next 2 days pushing the silent button so I didn't disturb my room mate.
The nurses and residents working on my floor, as well as in the recovery area were wonderful and very attentive. My only complaint was that I had one nursing assistant during my stay who didn't want to do anything to help me. I didn't ask for much, but even the smallest thing (plugging my IV back into the wall) seemed to make her quite angry. Overall, the rest of the experience was great though. Be sure and request a fan as soon as you get into a regular room, as the rooms are extremely hot.
