The first time I met Dr. Lamar I said to myself if the Lakers would of picked him up, maybe they would of at least made the playoffs. I thought Dr. Lamar was a kind and caring doctor. He took the time to listen and gave great feedback.

When the surgery came around he took the time to meet with me one more time before they put me out to see where my head was at. He along with Dr. Pearson made me feel comfortable.

After the surgery he even brought up a get well gift. He is a kind man. I would recommend him to anyone looking into this surgery.

MY IMPRESSION OF DR. LAMAR WAS VERY COMFORTING AND WARM...HE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME VERY WELL GAVE ME ALL THE DO'S AND DONT'S AND ALL THE POSITIVE'S AND THE MOST DREADFUL NEGATIVE'S TOO OF COURSE... HE WAS VERY PATIENT HE DIDNT MAKE ME FEEL RUSHED OR UNEASY TO ASK QUESTIONS HE WAS VERY ATTENTIVE TO MY NEEDS AND INSECURITIES, SO I HAVE TO RATE HIM 100% IN ALL!

My first impression was similar to many.. Man he is TALL... but then his gentleness emerged.. he has a soft spoken manner about him.. I felt calmness as I asked questions and made a connection with the man who was about to give me my life back.. As the surgery got closer Heidi his office staff was super helpful.. the office dealt with my insurance.. all I did was go to my scheduled appts.. His aftercare has been great.. he is available as needed.. luckily I havent had any type of complication whatsoever.. so things have been great.. I would recommend Dr. Lamar or any of the surgeons at Comprehensive Surgical Specialists..

My first impression of him was that he was tall, and that is coming from a 6'2" man. He seems quiet too. I is very nice and he installed a lot of confidence with me. His office staff were very efficient and quick in getting things done. I got a surgery date very quickly and I did not have to wait long to get in to see him. He was very through when I met him. I would recommend him or anyone with his practice.

my first impression of doctor was that he was very confident about his ability to help me. He was a very straight up about all the side effects. The office staff is great. All was very helpful, However the Insurence gal was always in a hurry, Like she couldn;t wait to get rid of me.She was very knowledgable, Just not a happy camper. The nurses where great and caring.Over all I am very happy to have had Dr. Lemar as my doctor. I'd much rather have a expert doctor than a very chatty one who gives warm fuzzies, but who mught not have as great a technique.

over all this hospital is great, except for the night nurses, they seem to not care and took a long time to asnswer my needs.

Staff was excellent, but busy. Thank God I had my wife staying with me. Had a private room and they brought a cot up to her.

When I first saw him, I thought he seems sort of shy and he was obiously very tall. He remained both shy and tall, but as time passed, his smiles grew wider and he seemed more relaxed. He's truly a gentle soul. The office staff there were all beautiful people, and they all looked at me with genuine smiles and congeniality, which put me at ease immediately. there was nothing I disliked about Dr. LaMar or his staff. I highly recommend him to anyone considering WLS - I had NO PAIN, only moderate discomfort. The after care program is strict, and hard to stick to, but well worth it. It's definitely not unbearable. Dr. LaMar makes sure you fully understand what you're getting into and what the process will entail, and I never felt that there was a question I couldn't ask. I highly reccommend him!!

Tha only drawback? He didn't come in to check on me the next day. Another doctor, Dr. Martin (HOTTIE!!!) who assisted in my surgery came in. It would've been nice to see Dr. LaMar and gauge his opinion of things went, since I already had rapport with him. In any case, I had the textbook ideal experience. I was extremely fortunate!
