MedCenter One Hospital
I felt that while everyone was "nice", the nurses could have and should have DONE more to help, to be of assistance, to help keep the moral up and do more to try to make me comfortable etc...
It had a funny, "old, stale" smell that was unpleasant. The appearance of the interior was old, dated and worn. To have Dr. B, I would go there again.
very clean, good staff, very up to date
I am very pleased with the staff of MedCenter One. Especially, the CNA's. They were outstanding. However, I was not impressed their response to my pain. I had a bad reaction to the morphine in the PCA and so I did not use it. But I was in severe pain. Not until the last day of the PCA did a nurse say that I should have had a different pain medicine :(. But all in all it was a good hospital.
The negative points about the hospital are that the ward is entirely TOO NOISY all night long. We had to put a sign on my door to keep it closed in order for me to get rest. Also sometimes the staff would actually leave the door open looking into the busy ward when they came in to quickly look at my dressing or whatever. I had to ask for privacy. I had the best nurse's aide named Patty for most of my visit. She just really looked after me and always straightened out my bed sheets and fluffed my pillow after she would help me up to the bathroom or to a chair. She really helped me to recuperate quickly.
