Excellent hospital, excellent surgery, I would recommend this hospital highly!

did not monitor my fluid or protein intake at all, i had to keep asking for pain meds they werent offered and then felt rushed to be discharged just the next night after surgery

It use to be the nurses were over worked is why they didnt have time to give good quality care and now, they dont seem to want to give any care. MMC is to big to give care, its all show and not actually for the patient themselves. If patients dont take in someone to advacote for them, they are left alone to fend for themselves. Its scary to know if they are safe if they are going to be given good care and the right medicine.

I would refer friends and family to MMC for surgical procedures.

The staff were excellent and very reponsive. My stay was very short but the nurses treated me very well.

I had some concerns that were shrugged off which made me decide not to voice questions and concerns I had later. The staff at the bariatric center are so awesome that I guess I expected the same at the hospital.

The nurses and CNA's were great.

I had no problems with my stay at Maine Medical Center. For the most part my pain medicine was available within a few minutes after I requested it. The only time that there were problems with it was during change of shift where I had to wait about 20 minutes but other than that I was cared for very well.

I had a great experience at Maine Medical Center (R3). The RN's & CNA's that I had were WONDERFUL! They were all so easy going and were very helpful and friendly. I only had to wait for roughly 30 minutes last night for more pain meds, but it was during the shift change. No big deal.
