Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital
My hospital experience was excellent. The staff was knowledgeable of my condition and most were very accomodating to my needs. I received excellent care at Sunnyside. My only negative comment is that one member of the nursing staff was discourteous, not very friendly, and failed to listen to my concerns. The male nurses were the most courteous, friendly and skilled nurses I have seen in many years.
This was my second surgery at this hospital. I feel that both times they were great. The staff was more than helpful and right on the spot to help in any wiy they could.
It is a very clean and well organized hospital. The design is laid out very comfortable and designed to encourage you to walk and get exercise. they also encourage visitors by providing a special area just outside you room through a glass sliding door for visiting.
Everyone was so nice. The nurses were all great and very positive about WLS. The rooms are very small and 2 people to a room. I did sort of have an unruley roommate and should have asked to be moved. My friend that had surgery one month later had a bad roommate too and asked to be moved and was put in a private room.
Kaiser generally does a very good job, given the number of patients they serve. My stay was made more pleasant due to having two excellent nurses, one on the evening shift and one on the night shift. I felt pampered by the night nurse because neither my roommate nor myself could sleep well, she gave us extra attention and conversation when we felt like it and helped us get comfy to sleep better.
