I was in good hands. The care was excellent. I couldn't have hoped for a better experience. I was terrified, but well prepared for the surgery. They helped me make this miracle happen.

Dr. Baggs was great. I was going through a very rough patch in my life at the time of surgery and he was very suppotive and understanding.

Judith Park was great. She went over the procedure with me, and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. She let me know this is a very serious surgery. And its going to take alot on my part, to get the positive resultes i want.

I met Dr. Baggs on December 17, 2003. He is a very personable and confident man. He patiently answered all of my questions. He gave me pre op diet to follow and told me that I was doing well because I had already lost 15 pounds since my visit with the shrink. I am a candidate for the Lap, so that made me really happy!
I have completed my surgery and have had a chance to get to know Dr. Baggs a little better. He is the best! I consider myself very lucky to be a patient of Dr. Baggs.

The nurses need to be trained to care for the needs of bariatric patients. To help act as coaches as we start introducing medications and foods back into our systems after surgery. I did not sleep for two days in the hospital. It was very noisy. I was given a room with a person that had a sleep disorder ( she couldn't sleep) so I had to listen to the TV with light on all night...while she was crunching on chips and ice and food. They really need to have a speical section for bariatric patients.

First impression was of a quiet but confident person. He took all the time we wanted to answer questions from both my wife and myself. The office staff was also very nice to deal with, especially Susie the nurse practioner. After care is emphasized by way of a local support group which it looks like meets once a month. Surgery risks are addressed through the use of a handout listing the different types of risk and the percentages that they occur. After explaining the risks he then would answer any questions I had regarding them.

At 10 months out as I reflect on my surgery I would add that Dr. Baggs is nothing short of a fantastic surgeon. I have had not 1 single complication the entire time. I would use his services again anytime for a family member or myself. I am very happy he did my surgery while he was here in Idaho and the people of California are very fortunate to now have him back.

It's clean, has all the things we need and then some beside the parking and location they should have more like this in more places. The satff are nice. Helpful you actualy can talk to an advice nurse 24-7 for anything anytime and not end up in some voice mail system...

He is very skilled and informative.
Nobody in Richmond gets to have surgery without him present in the room including with other surgons. (o^_^o) So I feel very safe. His office staff are very kind and supportive and very friendly. They push the viatamins aftercare and protien and a fittness club. I don't know about bedside yet but will soon enough...

I met with Dr. Baggs today 1/8/04. My impression on him was that he was a very nice and positive man. I was pleased with his knowledge and confidence as a surgeon. Dr. Baggs answered all my question and concerns with knowledge which put me at ease. The bariatric staff was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. I feel Dr. Baggs has both surgical competence and great bedside manners.
