Humber River Regional Hospital - Keele St. Site Hospital
Nurse forgot to piggyback pain and anti-inflamatory bag to IV it sat there all day it never dripped( i didnt say anything because I just wanted to go home where I could be cared for by those to really care about me)
There was fecies in the seat of the comode chair sitting in the shower stall .. it had been there since I arrived and a few days later the nurses were appalled and didnt know how long it had been there like that.
less than 48 hrs after my sugery I was geeting up to the washroom by myself.. I had to unplug the iv in oder to go which I was fine. I let one of the nurses know that I couldn't plug the iv back in the outlet which was located at the back left side of the wall, she said just move the bedside table( which was on wheels) beside the window and I would then be able to reach the outlet, she said I should be able to fit back there. I did what she said i didn,t complain even though it hurt quite a bit.
One of the nurses offered to bring me water for a bath, she didnt come back, so I didnt get one that day
With the exception for 3 nurses, the rest of the nursing staff was something to be desired. I have already warned a few ppl I know that are going to have surgery so they are aware
It was so noisy! I had one nurse Amy who was excellent and a couple other nurses who didn't seem to really care. One night I rang the bell 3 times and the lady next to me rang hers also because I was in so much pain and the nurse just took her time getting there. I could not believe how long I had to wait just to get some pain meds. I was not impressed!
