Holy Name Medical Center Hospital
The hospital was great overall. The only trouble I experienced was that they seem to like to put the gastric bypass patients in the rooms closest to the nurses station - and that means no sleep!! They were extremely noisy and inconsiderate to sleeping patients through all hours of the night. One nurses aid even came in and began cleaning my room at 4 AM. I did not appreciate that - but overall my care was stupendous.
The hospital was very accomodating and the staff was very friendly. I never was made to feel 'different' or a 'problem'. The nurses and aides were very helpful and were very responsive. Although I did have to have the usually middle of the night shots, IV changes, vitals, etc. they tried to be as quiet and as quick as possible. A single room was not available, but they did make sure that I didn't have to share a room with anyone, which really enhanced my privacy, and they allowed my husband to stay overnight with me the first night after surgery.
