Holy Name Medical Center Hospital
I had never been to HNH so this was my first time there, but since then I have recommend this hospital to every one. The nurses were very kind, and sensitive to me and my needs and wants. I never felt a moment of pain, I was looked in on almost every hour.
I would come back to this hospital for my cosmetic surgery when I loss all my weight, this place is great.
I had Gastric Bypass on 8/11/11. The nurses and other staff at Holy Name just could NOT have been any better. They made me feel like a friend to them, yet they were very professional at the same time. They listened to any concerns and came right away the second I called for a nurse. I was made to feel really comfortable, which I didn't think could be possible since I don't particularly care for hospitals. I've had bad experiences before at other hospitals, yet I have not ONE complaint about Holy Name. I was very impressed and will use Holy Name in the future if the need arises. I actually enjoyed my stay, believe it or not! :)

One of the best hospital experiences of my life. Everyone at this hospital was very very helpful and caring and where very attentive to any patient needs. They even gave me a private room so my mother could stay with me over night and got her a lounger chair so she could be comfortable. I was very surprised at how amazing this hospital was as i am used to waiting for hours just to even talk to someone at my local hospital. Very Impressive. I would recommend to anybody!
I can't praise the nursing staff enough, especially the student nurses. They were very attentive, always checking in and making sure I didn't need anything. Whenever I did ask for something, they either got it for me right away, or attempted to get an answer for me. I also felt very comfortable because so many of the issues I usually encounter never came up-such as, they gave me a gown that was large enough (I didn't have to ask for it). They used a big wheelchair-again without my having to remind them I don't fit in normal sized chairs. It is those little things that really add up to making a person more comfortable and less self-conscious.
I was neglected by the nursing staff, I was never brought fresh ice chips, water, and never had anything other than IV and ice chips the entire 5 days I was there. No one helped me get washed, or changed. I asked for a wash cloth and was told, sorry, can't help you there!! Rooms are unbearably hot, couldn't sleep too much noise. Had very bad pain no one cared until I passed out and had my friend get the Hospital Doctor down to my room and only then did they find a problem that required an emergency surgery @ midnight !
I can't believe they pass fire code; every hallway is filled with clutter. Most of the staff ranged from indifferent to downright mean. Not one person had a clue about bariatric surgery and most were repulsed by the very idea. Thank god I had a pump; waiting for pain meds would have been hell. I was checked at the beginning and end of shift and ignored in between.
