Proceedure was day surgery but I appeard to have more pain than other band post ops. The hospital certainly wanted to discharge me as soon as possible. I was a bit freaked out because I had a , normally, 4 hour drive home which turned in to 8 hours with stopping to walk to releave gas pain. I had a bunch of nausea as well.

Although having surgery wasnt fun my stay was pleasant and I had the best nurse who was there anytime I needed her. The only thing I didnt like was that fact that I told everyone beforehand that I was allergic to milk and would prefer soy, but every time my tray was brought in I was given regular milk that I couldnt drink and it ended up getting wasted.

Great staff, they have great people working for them. They have great parking too, easy to navagate and secure.
Would have to give them a 10 out of a possible 10.

there were a few nurses that really went the extra mile and made my experience a good one.

They need to train nurses better about the surgery and have more staff available.

The RN's in the Bariatric Short Stay Unit are one of finest that I have seen ever! - I have my surgery this past 08/27/2008 and since then (two days later), I have had three phone calls to check on my status and how I was doing/feeling. EXCELLENT CARE!!!!!!

Very loud, hard to relax/sleep. No communication between staff. No personal attention (and I'm a private person) I had to ask for everything and didn't feel like it was a pleasure from anyone to bring me anything I needed, not wanted but needed. Very disappointing post surgery treatment.
