My First impressions of Dr. Graber was that he was a serious kind of guy but I later learned that he has a great sense of humour. During the consultation both Dr. Graber and his Nurse Educator where thorough in their explanations of the procedures as well as what to expect. Dr. Graber was also very honest about the risks, his complication rates and pain management.rnrnHe's staff at the clinic and at the hospital were phenomenal. Very kind and helpful. I loved the wall of inspiration they had at the hospital with pictures of staff who had WLS. Very inspiring. rnrnI also love the fact that there is a lot of emphasis on after care while at the hospital and even after discharge. More importantly, Dr. Graber and his staff were very prompt in answering any questions that I had after discharge. He is also very prompt in returning calls if you have to page him after hours. rnrnI would strongly recomend Dr. Graber to anyone who is considering a RNY.rn

Dr Graber and his support team were wonderful, they answer all of my questions no matter how silly they may seem. They are there to see me if I need them and are always very prompt at calling me back if I leave them a message. My surgery was uneventful and my recovery almost painless.I am taking all the advice he and his team give me and all is going well. I have sent several people to him for a consult and will be sending a family member very soon god willing.. I would recomend him to anyone. He and his team are the best in the area.

My surgeon was upfront and honest about the whole procedure. I was pleased that I choose him and can't express how lucky one would be going to him. His staff are friendly and realistic. If you do not want to know an answer don't ask. Aftercare is apart of the program and one would only harm themselves by not following through. There is so much to learn and so many changes in ones life after surgery. I know the quality of my life has increased and I am thankful for that. I have had no complications internally but have emotional complications that I am currently working on. Supports are a plus before and after surgery.

My first impression of Dr Graber was that he was very straight and honest with you. He let you know up front if this surgery was right for you and if you would be successful. It didn't take long to realize what a smart man he was! He office staff is very friendly and helpful. Always taking the time to make sure all my questions were answered. Dr Graber along with the other doctor in his office (Dr Fitzer) have a wonderful track record...can't even begin to tell you how many times he has done this surgery successfully! Overall I would say he is the best! Since I had my surgery 5 of my friends have gone to him for the surgery ...including my husband after seeing how well I did.

One day they had a very large group of student nurses there that were very very loud outside of my room milling around in the hall doing nothing, the hosp should utilize them better, let them do alot of the work the staff doesn't have time to do, like get fresh bedside water, change beds after showers, maybe get fresh linens for the patients etc.

I have not had the priviledge to meet him yet, but can't wait!!rnI now have a consult date, Tuesday March 18th, 3:30pm.rnBrandy, bless her heart called to confirm my appt. next week, and she called me back within 5 mins--they had gotten word that I was approved from OHIP--Yahoooooo 10/03/08rnWell, yesterday March 18, 3.30 pm was my consult w/Dr. Graber. His office and staff were very accomodating--like everyone else has said, chairs that fi't--sooooo nice. Lisa, RN also very nice. Lisa, was the first to mention in the consult that their program was meant to be followed to a \"T\". If you have a problem, or question, \"call\". Don't assume that you know. Thats what their staff is there for--to help and answer questions. My first impression of Dr. Graber was good!!! Infact he was funny!! rn

Great doctor!! I would NOT want to be non-compliant however: he feels like someone who would be a very stern disciplinarian if you cheated or didn't listen to his post-op advice.rnrnJUST enough arrogance to be a successful surgeon (all good surgeons need some of this!), but warm bedside manner. Two thumbs up from this patient!
