El Camino Hospital Hospital
Dr. Vierra does not have a real personalble demeanor. He is competent and and expertise in this procedure. If you need a hand holder coach he is not it. His specialty is cancer so Bariatrics is a secondary for him.
His staff is competent and courteous
He threatens you with no surgery if you go home and gain weight between visits prior to surgery. I found that to be un called for and somewhate authoritarian.
I am two months post-op and had my surgery done by Dr. Albert
Wetter. I went to one other doctor before going to him and I
knew right away he was the one I wanted to have as my surgeon.
He is very approachable, thorough and professional. His
bedside manner is relaxed and he is very supportive both pre
and post op. He also really listens to his patients that have
had this procedure and shares their experiences with his
other patients. He is open to suggestions and to hearing
what works and what doesn't work for his post op patients.
I would highly recommend him and his staff. He works out of
Mills Pennisula hospital in Burlingame and I've heard he also
does surgery on Kaiser patients.
If you go to him, tell him you read a comment Lorri Conley
made about him on the internet. :)
I think by far the best surgeon in the field. The practice is dedicated to helping Post Op Patients well after their surgery. They truly care. When I was in the hospital I saw Dr. Rabkin several times a day, he was kind, confident and always reassuring. I had to be in the hospital for well over a week due to some minor complications and they were phenomenal. I was an out of state patient, but I never felt I lacked support.
