Barix Clinics - Michigan Hospital
All of my nurses were great in their own way. Pat and Tom were patient and kind. Cynthia was perky, One of them, Sue, had the surgery recently and was absolutely great. She had helpful advice and was fun. Shar was the night nurse. Although she did all she could to make me comfortable, she seemed limited. She just didn't have empathy. She did her job, and used all of her resources to make things right, but she was not gentle when handling me. She pulled the bandages off too quick and couldn't put my IV back in after my shower. This limited my access to pain meds. All in all, things went well.
They were just awesome. I can't say enough good things about BTC. My surgeon was competent, experienced, compassionate, patient, caring...had a GREAT bedside manner. The nurses were, for the most part, very attentive, sympathetic and friendly. The facility was very clean. From the initial consultation to my post-op check-ups and everything in between, BTC has been top notch! Kudos to BTC of Michigan!
I loved Dr DiNick!! He is an amazing person and me and my husband loved him dearly. He was very knowledgable and such a great listener, he genuinally cared about me and all of my concerns. He answered any question that me or my husband had and we even had a few laughs together, that really meant alot!! I would recommend him to ANYONE!!
I finally got my date with Dr DiNick for March 12, 2003....I am so excited and so scared at the same time...I told him I was a complete baby on the day of my consult...he told me not to worry, but I seem to be more scared about this than the RNY. I just keep thinking on how good I will look for the summer!! I am getting a Tummy Tuck, hernia repair and my arms done at the same time...I wanna look hot for the first time in my life dammit!!!!!! Thank you Dr DiNick....my HERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!I had my abdominoplasty, brachioplasty and 3, (we thought only 1, but, ended up as 3) hernias repaired on March 12, 2003. Dr DiNick was absolutely wonderful and I love this man dearly!!! He took such great care of me!! The surgery was rough and was much longer than expected because of the hernias, but I cannot believe the difference in my tummy and arms!! I would recommend this man to anyone!!
I thought he was very informative and I immediately felt comfortable with him. The office staff seems a little overwhelmed by the volume of people trying to get WLS. What I like least is how busy he and his office is. I came out of surgery with few complications and I think they didn't have as much time to answer my questions post op. I think he is a very gifted surgeon and is good at what he does. I kind of feel lost with aftercare. The staff did not call me at home to check on my after surgery. I had to call them with questions. He did address the risks of surgery. I would rate him a 8 on a scale of 1-10. He seemed very competent.
dr. poplawski was very professional and informative. he explained and used the board to inform me. so far i've only seen him once, but i liked him. the ofice staff was very thorough & nice.i beleive he's a good doctor. he knows his job! he told me the risks of surgery, especially with my health.i would rate him excellent but i'll know more after surgery. of course,i think both competence & bedside manner is important.
I WOULD SAY THET MY DEALINGS WITH EVERY PERSON FROM THE FRONT DESK TO DOCTOR BATAY CSORBE AND ALL THE NURSES.
THEY WERE ALL FANTASTIC AND 1 WEEK POST OP I FEEL FANTASTIC. WILL NOT WEIGH MYSELF UNTIL MY 2 WEEK CONSULT ON SEPT 26. WIIL CHECK BACK LATER.

Dr. Poplawski was professional and courteous for my consultation. He stressed alot on the psychological aspect of being overweight, the whys and what you were going to do to fill the void of eating after surgery. He answered a mile long list of questions and did not seemed bothered by how long the consult was taking. It seemed a little rehearsed but came across okay.
