Atlanticare Medical Center (COE) Hospital
The staff: during this time that I received the best care that any patient could have wished for – absolute professionalism, dedication and kindness from everyone at the hospital. Words cannot adequately express my gratitude and appreciation to those who nursed and cared for me. They are a credit to both Atlantic Care Regional Hospital and the medical Profession.
I have to say that the entire staff was excellent. All of the nurses were extremely helpful. There was one young lady who was a volunteer...she helped me with the most private of things, and her attitude could not have been more pleasant. A shout out to Lisa and Lotoya!!! Thanx girls sooooo much. I found that the entire staff was very nice and they made what could have been an embarassing and scary situation as pleasant as possible!!!
I was dissapointed when novices were taking my blood. Their other duties were to help the nurses, they did a horrible job taking bood.
I was dissapointed to find that the nurses weren't proficient at replacing IV needles, after bruising my arm horribly, They called a supervisor. It seems the nurses have duties other than patient care, I saw most sitting at a computer throughout most of their shift.
The 1 and only problem that I had with my stay was that my IV infiltrated and caused a little pain and swelling and none of my nurses noticed, even though I told them that I was having pain in my hand when I tried to give myself morphine from the pump. But that caused no medical problems for me, it healed nicely and it turned out that I didn't really need the morphine anyway, I wasn't in that much pain.
