VERY PROFESSIONAL THE HOLE EXPERIENCE.OFFICE STAFF WERE EXCELLANT..THERE WAS NOTHING I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT DR. O'MALLEY..HE IS AN AWESOME DR AND YOUR HEALTH IS HIS NUMBER 1 PRIORITY..VERY BIG ON AFTERCARE AND IT IS THOROUGH..HE ADDRESSES ALL THE PROS AND CONS OF THE SURGERY IN HIS PRE-OP SEMINAR..I WOULD RATE HIM A 10 OUT OF 10..HE WAS GREAT WITH EVERYTHING..
Dr. William O'Malley is a quiet man, but a skilled surgeon! His office staff is over worked, but very caring, knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. O'Malley isn't much for small talk, but that is not why I chose him. His reputation in Rochester, NY is stellar. I had to wait a year for him to perform my surgery as he has a long waiting list. He has performed many gastric bypass operations and is very skilled at doing the operation. He is a wonderful teacher as he meets with perspective patients to educate them about the process, long before he performs surgery on them. When he meets with perspective patients he is very open and honest about the risks of the surgery. He stresses the importance of
after care and has a structured after care program with the nurse practitioner. He also suggests attending a support group before and after having the surgery. I would rate him as an extremely competent surgeon!
Dr. O'Malley is wonderful. Obviously he is very good at what he does and he takes the time to listen to what you have to say and answer any questions you might have. His aftercare program is also excellent.
His surgical competence is excellent, and his bedside manner.....well he's not scoring high here but it really did not matter to me.....it's not like he was rude or anything, just direct, to the point, etc.
Dr. O'Malley seems very focused on what he's doing. He doesn't seem to have a whole loto f bedside manner, but that's not what's important to me. His staff is amazing. They are right on top of everything and have a wonderful team to help me every step of the way. This is why I choose Dr. O'Malley. I could have went to a local doctor, but I like his professionalism. He covers all details of the surgery before and after in great detail and really stresses the consistency of changed eating habits so that I won't be one of the 20% who gain weight back after the surgery.
I was a bit nervous about having the surgery, but Dr. O'Malley was wonderful. He explained everything thoroughly for me. His office staff is terrific! Future patients should know that Dr. O'Malley is very skilled in this procedure and that he is very concerned with aftercare...I am 7 months post-op and have had no problems. He does indeed have a structured post-op aftercare program and it is very crucial that it is followed properly. He did let me know that with all surgeries there are potential risks, and I decided that the risk with surgery was far better than the health risk if I didn't have surgery. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2000 and was put on meds for it 2 years later. I decided I would rather take the risk with surgery than to deal with the possible long term problems with diabetes. It has paid off because I am off all diabetic medication! Dr. O'Malley is rated 10/10 in my book! His surgical competence and bedside manner are terrific.

My first impression of Dr. O'Malley was that he seemed very knowledgeable. His office staff is wonderful. Diane Loper is the best! I would rate his over all manner as a 10+
Dr. Omalley was amazing, very friendly and amazing at what he does. I would reccomend him to anyone.
I met Dr. O'Malley on January 27th, he was very nice, and very confident. I felt at ease once I had my appointment with him.
