Dr. Mehta explained all the risks of bariatric surgery. He answered all of my questions. I would definetly recommend Dr. Mehta. I was able to get an appointment quickly. Also they were able to schedule a surgery date very quickly. I use the support group on line. It's nice knowing that what you are going through is normal. Before surgery I weighed 288 lbs at 5'3". At my 6 months anniversary I'm down to 196 lbs . I could not be happier!

From the moment I met Dr. Mehta, I new he was sincere and loved his work. He was honest and had a great bedside manner. I could ask him anything and could get an answer. Even if there was a question he couldn't answer, he would find out.

I chose him because he was listed as one of the top bariatric surgeons in NJ; plus he had a good record. I got an appointment very easily and quickly with him and he made me feel comfortable with the procedure. He explained the risks and explained the procedure. My pre-surgery weight was 358 lbs on December 1, 2003. My post surgical weight is now 242 lbs in just 8 months out. I thank him very much for his concern and skill. His staff is also very helpful and always going to extremes to hlep me. Now I no longer have high blood pressure, I dont snore at night, I can finally buy clothes off the rack at a department store and walk without getting out of breath!

I still have more weight to lose, but the Mehta Bariatric Center has given me the chance to llve my life again, without the problems that come with obesity. He has changed my life and I will always be greatful to him. I would recommend him to anyone that is thinking of oweight loss surgery. I was 268 lbs before surgery and now 181 lbs. Went from a size 26 to a size 12!! I am thrilled with my results. Dr. Mehta from the Mehta Bariatric Center is wonderful! He is very patient, polite, willing to answer all of my questions. I consulted with 3 different doctors and I liked Dr. Mehta the best. I was seen quickly for an appointment and scheduled for surgery withing a few weeks. The staff was wonderful and very informative. Everyone, including the covering physicians were knowledgeable and helpful through that experience.

I chose Dr. Mehta after attending his support group. I had the opportunity to meet him and talk to other patients. He seemed very nice, down to earth and positive. I weighed 270 lbs before surgery. I curenly weigh 154 lbs. It was very easy for me to get an appointment with Dr. Mehta. He made me feel very comfortable and made my family comfortable too on the day I had my surgery. I am very grateful that Dr. Mehta has the support group meetings, nutritionist and personal trainers available.

I had been considering gastric bypass for a few years before finding Dr. Mehta's website. I was able to make an appointment within a week of calling the office. At the time of the consultation I was impressed with Dr. Mehta's complete knowledge of the surgery and complications and benefits. I was approved for the surgery and scheduled. The morning of of my surgery I weighed 291 lbs at 5'8". I had almost no complications, a few bouts with nausea and that was it. At my 6 month post operative visit I had lost 84 lbs and felt great! So far, I have not needed the aftercare programs - but I am sure they would be excellent, just as the staff has always been. Even with the risks involved, I would choose Dr. Mehta and the Mehta Bariatric Center again tomorrow if I needed too. It was the best decision I ever made. Thank you! Thank you!!

Dr. Mehta came highly recommended. He was the best choice I could have made. I weighed 315 lbs before surgery and I am now 205 lbs. I was able to get an appointment with in one week. Dr. Mehta is a competent, compassionate, considerate doctor. He took his time with me answered all of my questions immediately. The staff are the "best". He has selected his staff to match his personality. Caring, patient knowledge able, helpfull and understanding. I live too far to take advantage of everything that the Mehta Bariatric Center has to offer. I wish I were able to I'm sure the weight loss would be greater. Dr. Mehta was recomended by a friend. My wife and I were able to take our time with him during the consultation and he was able to answer all of my questions. I had all the time we needed to know he was the one! I weighed 430 lbs with a BMI of 63. Pre-surgery I had many medical problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, sleep apnea and many more. Dr. Mehta explained all of the risk factors that may be involved. The staff was wonderful and very understanding and obliging. I regularly attend the Mehta Bariatric Support group meetings and talk to the nutritionist to keep on track with menus and regular excersise. 8 months after my surgery I now weighe 248 lbs and my BMI is now 27. Dr. Mehta is such a wonderful doctor-his bedside manner was wonderful and he seems genuinely sincere towards his patients!! His program is great. I chose the Mehta Bariatric Center because Dr. Mehta performs the surgery laparoscopicaly and was referred to me by a former patient of his. I weighed 277lbs the day of surgery Today I am an amazing 150lbs. I had no problem getting an appointment at all. As a matter of fact, from my first consult to the day of surgery was less then 30 days. I was amazed at how fast it happedned. Did not have time to chicken out. He answered all of my questions and was very honest of the risks involved. The staff was very helpful and there for me always. I utilize the support group meetings and I am very happy with my results and would do it all over again. I have sent many people to see Dr. Mehta at the Mehta Bariatric Center. I feel tha Dr. Mehta is a wonderful doctor and helped me when my diabetes mellitus was so that I had to be on insulin every day. I also had kidney problems. Since the surgery my kidney function is fine and I no longer have diabetes, which means I am insulin injected free. I was 285 lbs before surgery and I'm 200 lbs now. When I met Dr. mehta I thought he was a fine doctor and he explained to everything that I should know about the surgery.
