I am happy with my weight loss, planning to loose more weight without feeling hungry. I feel getting the lap band was the right decision for me. Looking forward to losing more weight. Looking forward to buying new clothes.

I feel that this was one of my best decisions i have made in my life. My decision to have the lap band procedure, i thought it would be easy, but it is one of the hardest things i have done,i thought that the band would do everything. i found out it all up to you, the band is only a tool to make it a little easier for you but it does not stop the cravings to eat. I had to learn how to control myself, and not let the cravings control me. Days following the surgery i have never been that hungry in my life, i have said i was hungry, those days on the liquid diet was the hardest. My advise to anyone that will have this procedure no that the band dees not do it for you its up to you if you want to lose weight, not the band. The staff at office they make you feel that they care when you need to ask a question. you will always get your call, saying is everything alright with you, do have any question a lot of days i really needed that. rnrnTHANK EVERYONE rnrnrnAGINAH N. My surgeon and his office staff have been fabulous throughout the entire process pre-op to post surgical management. I have had very little to no pain at all from this procedure (1st day post op was the worst for me). I have had no nausea or vomiting either. I have found that walking has helped greatly in decreasing my discomfort. So far I am very happy with the process.

Dr. Andrei, what a find! I have been confident since my first meeting at the Hyatt in New Brunswick and over time I felt his abilities so that I referred my sister. I also travel from Millstone Township over an hour to get here! The staff makes sure you are worry free and guides you through all the insurance problems along the way. The only thing I would have liked was a cook book or guide. About aftercare...I am a strong headed person and it has been hard for the staff and Dr. Andrei but they have emphasized the need to be adjusted and to make a calendar to help progress. Dr. Andrei is the only doctor I would have let do my surgery. All you have to do is go into the waiting room and you will hear how well liked he is. Even being so busy, he always has time to joke and make you feel he is under control.

I started looking into gastric bypass surgery in 2002. I first went to a hospital and surgeon in NY, but didn't feel comfortable - he felt too sterile. Then I heard about 2 surgeons in New Brunswick and tried Dr. Andrei at Robert Wood Johnson. Dr. Andrei made me feel very comfortable and, more importantly, as if everything was going to be okay.rn I had gastric bypass surgery in June of '03. My highest weight recorded was 270; however, by the time I had my bypass I was 220 lbs. Dr. Andrei was suportive and comforting.rn After surgery, I went back to my old ways (or tried to), but quickly realized that I was going to kill myself if I continued on that road. I started taking my weight loss seriously and removed all forms of sugar, including wheat, from my life. My lowest weight was 143.rn After 4.5 years of eating well and exercise, I started to get sloppy and began eating sugar again. At the same time I started menopause. Within one year, I gained 30 lbs. and felt totally out of control.rn Although Dr. Andrei is over an hour from my home, I was so comfortable with him, I called and made an appointment to find out what my options were. I was, once again, very comfortable with Dr. Andrei and his staff (they are the best!).rn On Jan. 18th I had the band put in. Although I am very uncomfortable, I feel good about my decision.rn Since then (only 1 week), Dr. Andrei has called once and his staff calls and checks on me every day. I have only good things to say about Dr. Andrei and his staff!

I was referred to Dr. Andrei by a close friend. I am so elated that I took my friends advice. With the help of the lapband surgery I feel as though I have regained control of my life and what goes in my mouth! I am now on the road to becoming healthy in body, mind, and spirit! Dr. Andrei and his staff are wonderful. During my very first visit, I felt comfortable placing my health in his hands. He was pleasant, professsional, and had an excellent bedside manner. He took the time to explain the process(i.e surgery) and maintained this same demeanor post-surgery. He is accessible and is genuinely concerned about the care of his patients. I feel confident that I made the best choice for me.

rnI founded out about Dr. Andrei, through one of my church member (Donna McGreger). I saw how well she was doing, so I decided to make an appointment to see if I was a candidate for this procedure. My procedure was done Dec. 17, 2009 and so far I am doing very well, and well pleased. rnrnrn
