My name is Gabriela, I'm 43 years old. 3 years ago in 2014, I decided to have weight loss surgery. I didn't know any bariatric surgeons so I did my research. I read reviews on other doctors and chose Dr. Andrei based on his reviews. I was very nervous but after my first visit with him, I felt very comfortable and confident with my choice. Dr. Andrei & his staff are amazing! I would recommend him to anyone! He brought me back to life! My only regret is not having my vertical sleeve gastrectomy sooner!

After many years of trying to lose weight, I found Dr. Andrei in 2008.
Upon meeting him for the first time I knew I had made the right choice, he put my fears to rest by taking the time to explain all of my options, we agreed on gastric bypass. His staff was and is very professional, who took me thru the steps to prepare for this life altering change that I was about to undertake, preparing my mind, body and soul to the process.
My surgery was done 3/2/2009 which allowed me to lose 130 lbs., with him and his staff's guidance I have maintained that weight loss almost 8 yrs.
As I have grown to acknowledge food, and the role it plays in life's daily process, Dr. Andrei has helped me to define the combination of food and exercise which has helped me to be more aware of life choices as it regards to my overall health.
In closing without Dr. Andrei I may not have been here to write this testimony.

I had a VSG on July 2014. It was the best thing i ever did. I am the healthiest ive ever been and the happiest. Everyone i knew that had their surgery with Dr Andrei was 100%satisfied. So i chose Dr. ANDREI. Not only was my surgery a success but Dr. ANDREI was very caring and personable. I strongly recommend him to anyone. You will be happy

I heard about Dr. Andrei from a friends who had surgery with him. They highly recommended him and I love him! I trust him. He takes the time to talk to you and really listens. I think he is a really great surgeon who is passionate in what he does and his patients overall health and well being.

I had my Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG) in February 2016 with Dr. Andrei. Not only did I know he was the right doctor for me after seeing family members go through the same procedure with him and have great results, but I knew he was was the right doctor for me because of his sensitivity, genuineness, and frankness. He has been nothing but straight forward with me when it came to preparing for my surgery and preparing for my new, healthier lifestyle. His whole team, from the Registered Dietitian to the patient liaison, are there for you every step of the way. When I first went in for my consultation I was nervous and eager to do something about my staggering weight and health issues; I left that day with a better understanding of all the weight loss procedures and a startup of my new lifestyle with a new diet plan. Long story short, I am extremely content with my decision to have weight loss surgery and I am thankful that Dr. Andrei and his staff were able to get me through the process. I have lost 75 lbs so far and feel the best I have in years.

When I first saw Dr. Andrei I was 312 pounds. I felt absolutely horrible about myself physically and mentally. I had tried so many things to lose weight and keep it off, but nothing seemed to work and I always ended up gaining more weight back than I ever lost. I started to question many things in my life and knew that surgery was my only way to get control of my weight and live my life as I always felt inside I should. I researched the surgery for awhile, at that time it was just being done as an open procedure and I was waiting for them to start doing it laparoscopic. When that day came I called to see the surgeon. I was actually scheduled to see another surgeon, who I later found out did not perform the surgeries laparoscopic. When I got to my appointment I waited 2 hours to see him and it was so worth it! Dr. Andrei took the time to answer my questions, calm my fears, and get me started on the right path for surgery. I had my surgery on November 16th, 2001 and since then I have lost and maintained a 160 pound weight loss. I can say 15 years later he still does the same thing for me and makes sure I am doing well and staying on track. He is always there when I need him. When you visit his office its like coming home for me. Dr. Andrei and the staff know me and I feel safe and supported. I have never seen another doctor like him. He is one of a kind and I don't know where my life would be right now if I didn't meet him. Thank you Dr. Andrei for being you and doing what you do so well!

It is over 2 years later than my 1st review. My RNY was over 4 years ago, I am soon to be 64 years old. In the last 4 months I started to develop some general health problems, but did't really know what it was related too or how I should proceed. My son strongly suggested I call Dr. Andre, I've had feelings of nausea, weakness and was diagnosed with reactive hypoglycemia after my surgery,. For me it is a small price to pay. When I called the office I spoke with our beloved, Andy. Within minutes I was told to contact a specialist given to me. Called the office and was told I would need to wait 2 months for an appt. I personally didn't think it was an emergency but 2 months seemed like a long time, so I called Dr. Andre again. Within 5-10 minutes the specialist office called back with an appt for 2 days later! I travel 2-21/2 hours to see Dr. Andre and he is not covered under my insurance, I WILL NOT ever consider changing my follow ups to another dr. . I have seen 3 different specialists over the past 4 years, unfortunately always 2 hours away. Dr Andre and ALL of his office staff are incredible!! I have faith in very few Dr's these days. Dr Andre gave me back my life and continues to safeguard it. Forever I will be eternally grateful!!!

Dr. Andrei and his staff are the best! Dr. Andrei performed my gastric bypass surgery almost six years ago (07/2008) and I can make this statement without thinking twice on any day; "Dr. Andrei saved my life." He has treated me as though I was the only patient on his roster numerous times. Without the support of Dr. Andrei and his staff, I would not consider myself a weight loss success story. He has handled me and my issues (minor tantrums mostly), with a calm voice , a caring heart and hands. I have always made it known to the world that I am a healthier and better person overall due to my weight loss surgery.

As a side note to anyone who is considering weight loss surgery, small does not equal healthy. Dr. Andrei can only provide the tool by performing the surgery, but we are responsible for our overall weight loss and health. Please, treat this surgery the way you would treat a newborn baby. Love and nurture turns that newborn into a toddler, adolescent, teenager and adult if we are fortunate. The same rules apply to weight loss surgery.

MY experience with Dr. Andrei and his staff was phenomenal! The staff is very friendly and work well with any kind of schedule. Dr. Andrei is very nice and personable and great at what he does. Dr. Andrei and his staff have given me a second chance to be the best person I can be and for that I am forever thankful to them. If you are considering Weight loss surgery definitely consider Dr. Andrei!

Dr. Andrei and his staff have been nothing short of wonderful. From my very first appointment I felt very comfortable here. So much so that I travel about an hour for my appointments. The staff have been knowledgeable and compassionate during this difficult transition and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is considering weight loss surgery.
