Dr. Faulkenberry excels in advanced laparoscopic surgery including antiflux surgery. He is board-certified in general surgery and performs surgeries for thyroid and parathyroid disease, breast diseases, advanced hernia repair and cancer of the digestive tract.

Dr. Faulkenberry performs gastric banding (Lap-Band and Realize Band), gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, StomaphyX, and revision procedures for the treatment of chronic obesity. After a rigorous examination of his surgical outcomes and practice, he was awarded the distinction of being an ASMBS Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence Surgeon.

Education and Professional Associations
Dr. Faulkenberry received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Texas Medical Association, and the Surgical Society of Austin. He is a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).
