I LOVE DR.TOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has been nearly 7 yrs. since my surgery (7-8-2003) and I am still doing GREAT. I have never had any problems. I honestly believe if it weren't for Dr.Tom I would not be here to enjoy my family. I was a 53 yr old woman weighing in at 450 pounds. I used a walker and could barely get around even then. Dr.Tom and his staff were very caring and supportive through my whole journey. I still go in and see them and keep them up to date on my status. I have subsequently had both my hips replaced and a shoulder but now I walk and ride my bike and enjoy my family and traveling to my fullest extent.I also spend most of the summers camping with friends and family. I love my life now.

Dr Tom is a kind, gentle and understanding doctor. He never made me feel embarassed or ashamed...very helpful and readily provided information. I would strongly encourage anyone to select him as a surgeon.
Dr Tom was GREAT. he would listen to what every you had to ask. He took time out of his day just to help you out. and if he couldnt his daughter would help out.. His staff was great in helping out when ever i had a question and called in. THANK YOU ALL!!!!I would recomend him or his daughter and family to ANYBODY.. they are all great there..
Dr. Thomas Geocaris is my surgeon, He answered all our questions concerning the surgery, risks, and recovery.
I feel confident that he will be a good doctor. He has been doing Gastric surgery for 20 years and is up to date on the latest inprovements.
He will be doing robotic assisted laporscopic gastric bypass for my surgery. He seems very willing to discuss mortality and complications. I like him.
I am really glad to have been set up with Dr. Tom, he made me feel very comfortable from the moment he walked in the room to speak with me and my mom, and was very thourough in what he explained to us.
Knowledgeable and took his time to explain the procedure.
Still very satisfied with Dr. Tom.

Most of the office staff was great
What I liked least was the fact that he did not know about the medications I was taking and did not have alot of information and instruction on how to take them post-op. He did not have me on maintenance meds during my hospital stay.
Just make sure you ask the questions you may have.
The aftercare was ok
Overall, I have no complaints. He is very competant and thorough.
Dr. Geocaris is a wonderful doctor. I went in to see him about a possible hernia and it was then that he recommended that I have the Gastric Bypass. It was just the suggestion that I needed to finally go for it.
The Bariatric clinic that he works through is very thorough in the preparatory work. Not only did I have to meet my insurance requirements but also their requirements. I have to admit it was frustrating because of the hurry up and wait but I am grateful now. I feel confident that all precautionary steps have been taken to aid me in a successful surgery. I even found out that I have sleep apnea.
Dr. Geocaris is very thorough in letting you know and understand the risks of any surgery.
I have to go see Dr. Geocaris on Wed Nov 17th for the initial surgery consult. I have had Dr. Geocaris do a surgery on me before and I know his staff is very supportive of all of their patients. I am looking forward to a very supportive relationship with his office.

Actually I have no complaints about my surgeon, he was great from day one. He drew pictures for my husband and I to help us better understand the surgery, had good bedside mannor, my aftercare has been pleasant. His staff is sooooo great, his nurse is always a good self esteem booster and the program -Bellin Health- is a great program. They provide lots of good info and aftercare, nutrisionists, free 6 month gym membership for post ops and I have no complaints. I am doing good and have had no complications. I feel great and I go for my 6 month out appt next next week. October 10.
