Dr. Randall is the most caring compassionate man. He has a calming way about him that makes you feel you are in safe hands. Of course you know you are anyway based on his fabulous statistics. He is the man in this area! He has done the most and he has done the best. I'm not sure why you would go to anyone else!!rnThe only negative is the business of his practice. Sometimes the wait is long at the office.

Dr. Randall struck me as a very no nonsense kind of guy, which, I expect comes with the territory. I knew right away that he was serious about his commitment to his patient, and expected the same committment from me, and that is why he is successful. rnrnOver time, I felt more and more comfortable with him, I knew if I followed his instructions, I would be successful. I believed in him, and that was the most important thing for me, I need to believe in and trust him. He is the most amazing Dr./Man I have ever met. A day after my surgery, I began vomitting, non stop for about 48 hours. Dr. Randall's compassion was mind blowing. He dealt with me as if I was the only patient he had, EVER. He showed up in the middle of the night to check on me, very impressive. Thanks to many different tests and treatments he was able to help stop the vomitting. Now, when I go to my post op visits, he refers to me as the vomitous one, which we can both laugh about now.rnrnHis staff......2nd to none, Kate is amazing, again, she treats you like you are the only patient on her list of things to do that day. Can't say enough about the staff, they are the BEST!rnrnI believe Dr. Randall is the reason I have a new lease on life, and his humor, dedication, and devotion are why I tell everyone about him, and I am truly thankful for being led to him on this journey.rn

Dr. Randall was to have been my surgeon at MGH in 2005 when I went through the whole process (and I mean the WHOLE ) presurgical process but my surgery was canceled at last minute due to $1000 that insurance wouldnt cover and I couldnt pay. I lost 80 lbs on my own the following year but things are different now for a lot of personal reasons. I have put back almost half of what I lost. I said I would \"NEVER\" consider WLS again but here I am. I knew Dr. Randall was no longer practicing at MGH so I will see him at Hallmark/Lawrence Memorial on June 2nd for an \"initial\" consult but not really initial and I will ask him to decide medically anyway if he still feels this surgery is feasible. He was HIGHLY recommended to me and correctly so.rnMember of Randall's Rangers. rnhttp://www.randallsrangers.org/rn

Strong hands. Knowledgeable.rnRespect grew for him with each meeting because of the care and concern he put forth in making sure I knew what I had to know about the giant step I was taking.rnHis office staff is outstanding!rnThere wasn't anything to not like about him. rnFuture patients should know that they are in the best capable hands they can be in.rnHe stresses aftercare throughout the whole process.rnAbsolutely, aftercare is a priority with Dr. Randall. Your post-op visits with him, your nutrionist and the psyh as well as the monthly support group meetings. He takes attendance so he knows!!! rnExplained everything in detail at our very 1st meeting and on surgery day. And did so in a way as not to frighten you but to make you aware in a positive way.rnRating him on a scale of 1 to 10, he's definetly a 10!rnOh, absolutely both. I saw him everyday while in the hospital, no other doctor has ever done that and I've been in the hospital alot!rnDr. Randal has everything it takes to be an outstanding doctor. I am very thankful I had him as my surgeonrn

My first impression of Dr. Randall was that he was professional, intelligent, and caring. I also liked his sense of humor. In the group pre-surgery meetings, I learned of his reputation as a highly regarded, excellent surgeon. In the hospital, following surgery, I found him to be very compassionate and sensitive, and quick to ease my fears. rnrnHis office staff has always been courteous, professional, and helpful. Knowing I travelled from a distance, they scheduled appointments with the nutritionist and psychologist on the same day as the surgeon's appointment.rnrnOne of the things I least liked about him was how he was direct about how I was not meeting his pre-op requirements. In retrospect, I am glad that he was so direct.rnrnDr. Randall and his staff stressed the importance of attending the pre and post surgical support meetings. He also scheduled regular post-surgery appointments.rnrnI had some problems following surgery, and wound up in a nursing home for a week. Dr. Randall worked closely with my primary care physician as well as the staff during this time.rnrnHis aftercare program is structured and has been invaluable to me. rnrnHe was upfront about the risks of surgery, especially since I had a few health risks. Yet, I felt extremely comfortable going into surgery that I was in good hands.rnrnI would rate surgical competence as being more important than bedside manner. In my opinion, Dr. Randall excelled in both areas.rnrn

Dr. Randall is extremely informative and all about good health. He takes time to make sure you understand all the risks of surgery and explains each type of surgery to you so that you are well informed. Each month he is at the support group meeting to help those who have had the surgery and those considering it. This doctor is one that will guide you on the road to a healthy life and I'm blessed with having been directed to him by my primary care physician. My aftercare with Dr. Randall was the best. If I called him, he called immediately right back. Was always reassuring and no question was to small for him to take the time to answer. You're in the best of hands and care with him.rnrnrn
