Dr. Lyass and his staff were outstanding and very supportive. rnrnMy initial impression of Dr. Lyass was that he wanted to make sure I understood what I was ready to undertake. He spent all the time required to answer my questions as well as my husbands.rnrnThe office staff were awesome. Very personable and caring.rnrnThere wasn't anything I didn't like about Dr. Lyass. Every time I see him he makes me feel like part of the family. Very personable and caring.rnrnFuture patients should know that they will feel secure and comfortable with Dr. Lyass and his staff. rnrnDr. Lyass and his staff spent a lot of time emphasizing aftercare and has a structured aftercare program.rnrnHe spent the time required to address all risks of surgery and explain the entire procedure.rnrnOverall, I would rate Dr. Lyass and outstanding. I would return to him again and again if future surgeries were required.rnrnBoth surgical competence and bedside manner were great. rnrn
My first impression of my surgeon Dr. Sergy Lyass was on the day of surgery. He seemed knowledgeable and very busy and has a good bedside manner.rn Over time my opinion of my surgeon was that he was very busy because he was a very good surgeon, but also because he seemed to really care about me and how I was doing.rn My surgeon's office has at least two Maria's and such a friendly staff and helpful too.rn What I liked least was that I didn't meet my surgeon until the day of surgery.rn I would recommend my surgeon to any one looking for one of the best.rn I think after care is dispensed as needed depending on patient's needs.rn My surgeon had his assistant physician address this issue.rn My overall rating of my physician is positive.rn I have complete competence in Dr Sergy Lyass, and his bedside manner too.rn This is my own personal experience and I make no statements about what other people may have experienced.
My first impression of Top Surgeons, Dr. Lyass' firm, was that it was a surgery mill (get ‘em in, get ‘em signed, etc.). But it didn't matter to me since I was more interested in selecting a doctor that had done the procedure many times.rnrnHis office staff was immensely helpful in getting me through the insurance muddle (I'm an HMO, which made it harder). But I was still surprised at how wonderful and professional the medical staff was when I went in for surgery. The nurses and the anesthesiologist were among the best I've ever dealt with, and Dr. Lyass has been absolutely terrific. He calls me back when I call him, he's given me his email address, he's attentive, and he cares. I couldn't come up with a complaint if I tried. I heartily recommend him.rn
I first heard about the practice Dr lyass from some radio ads here in LA. Dr Lyass practices at both Cedar Sinai and Top surgeon of Beverly Hills. Dr Lyass is very direct and easy to talk with. He clearly cares for his patients and makes himself available via email at all hours of the day. I was even offered Dr lyass direct cell phone number. I never needed it since he emailed with 2 hours of a request. I love the use of email to communicate with my doctors because it allows me to look multiple times at the doctors instructions and ask questions. Before I first went to Dr. Lyass I researched his background it is very impressive. I had very good results from my lap band surgery. He is very skilled and I recommend him highly. He also worked closely with my GP and was also responsive to her about her requests. It is great when your doctors work as a team many don't. Dr lyass provides his patients complete written instruction that are written or tailored by him for his methods. he takes time to review that information with you.rnrnthe bottom line is I recommend Dr Lyass
Dr. Sergey Lyass, MDrnrnDr. Lyass is an outstanding surgeon. He is on the staff of the Dept. of Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the BEST hospital in Southern California, and he has many years of experience with laparascopic and bariatric surgery in Israel, after receiving his medical degree in Russia in the 80's. He trained and practiced at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, which friends tell me is an outstanding hospital, then came to America and was a resident and practiced at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York, which I am also told is a fine hospital. He has been on staff at Cedars-Sinai since 2006, and now has his own bariatric practice. He is not listed on this website, but he is MUCH MORE experienced than many of the doctors who are; it's just that his experience has been mostly outside the USA. rnHe has a wonderful, friendly staff. Irina, his coordinator, is an ANGEL, who makes sure things get done, and takes care of EVERYTHING! rnrnI have no doubt that Dr. Lyass' reputation will grow and grow with time here in Southern California. Luckily, I already knew about him!
