-Down to earth which made it easy for me to communicate with himrn-Thorough in providing information on the surgery at the group meetingrn-1st office visit was very briefrn- New patients will have to slow him down to make him answer your questions or spend more than a few minutes with you in a office visit. Write your questions down before your office visit.rnBedside manner is VERY important to me.
I have been an RN for a very long time. I must admit that Dr. Steinberg has the best bed-side manner of any doctor I have met. He is extremely compassionate. My surgery went better than I thought it might. His office staff is very friendly and willing to answer any question and assist you on your journey.

Steinberg, M.D., F.A.C.S.rnMedical Director, Bariatric Surgeryrn1045 Sycamore DrivernDecatur, Georgia 30030rn404-501-7903rnrnI am recently got my approval from my insurance company. Shawna Clinard the New Patient Coordinator was fantastic in helping me get my paperwork in quickly. Dr. Steinberg was great at answering all my Questions. They also have a great online support group that has been tremendous at helping me with all of my concerns. rnrnI just had my last visit with Dr. Steinberg befor my surgery. I now await for my surgery date.
Dr. Steinberg and his staff are the best. They are always pleasant and they make the entire process easy. They always have a smile in their voice, no matter how many times I call with the same annoying question. Dr. Steinberg is genuinely concerned about his patients and you are not just a number or insurance check, you are a person and he wants the WLS to work for you. He is concerned about your overall health. I am so glad that I went to Dr. Steinberg and I would recommend him to anyone who is thinking about WLS.
Dr. Steinberg was very nice. He answered all the question that I had for him. I am very honored to have him as my surgeon and if anyone is looking for a bariatric dr. he sure will be a great one. However not to forget about his office staff only I have delt with Shaunna and Erica and they is so nice he couldn't of ask for anyone better.
My first impression of Dr. Steinberg was positive..he was positive and confident. As my surgery date approached and took place my impression of him was correct, he is a positive person and a capable surgeon. His staff is always professional and polite. I would say that the entire staff is comprised of good people who are passionate about what they do...if you have done your research and are confident that gastric bypass or banding is the solution for you...they are an excellent group to help you accomplish your goals. I honestly have nothing negative to say about Dr. Steinberg or his staff. The road is not easy but that part is YOURS...the surgeon and the office staff are tools.
Dr. Steinberg is amazing. rnrnHe's got this whole WLS down to a fine art! I was totally blown away by how quickly my surgery was approved. I tried to have the surgery approx. 2 years ago w/ Dr. Khaitan @ Piedmont Hospital, but TriCare denied it. rnrnMy impression of Steinberg changed when I first met him. For some reason, in my mind all doctors are wisened old men. Steinberg is a young guy, looking younger than my youngest brother.rnrnI was told by the staff at DeKalb Medical Center (where my surgery was performed) that Steinberg is the ONLY surgeon in the South East that TriCare will authorize. TriCare is also who provided me with his name.rnrnSteinberg has a very specific program for before and after surgery - if you follow his \"protocol\" to the letter - everything will work out perfectly. He is very very thorough, and, as a result, very very busy. So don't expect a lot of face time and hand holding, it's not going to happen.rnrnWhich is better surgical competence or bedside manner? Are you serious? Competence is always top priority.rnrnHis office staff is wonderful - everyone is very friendly and upbeat. Unlike the folks at Piedmont I encountered at my first attempt to get this done. They were obviously stressed, overworked, and generally too busy to be bothered. I was not impressed with the surgeons at Piedmont or their staff.rn
