Dr Cuneen rocks!!! He puts you at ease, works out of the state of the art Cedars Sinai Medical Center, and has a great team around him.
I could not be happier with my experience at the Cedars Bariatric Center. There is great education and support in place, ongoing support and training, great nurses and a wonderful nutritionist. It is all designed to make sure you are successful, beyond the technical part of the surgery itself.
My results have been phenomenal. I am just 4 months into my sleeve, and i've lost over 60 pounds. No nausea, no problems taking in fluids or protein, no complications at all.
You will be in VERY good hands with Dr. Cuneen.
Dr. Cunneen is an excellent surgeon. He has a fantastic bed-side manner. I found him to be very attentive, knowledgeable, and one who listens to the needs and concerns of his patients. I would definitely consider Dr. Cunneen to be one of the premier surgeons in Los Angeles, California.

Before deciding on Dr. Cunneen I visited with two other surgeons that I considered because they were located much closer to home. After those visits there was no question as to who I wanted for my surgeon.rnrnDr. Cunneen is friendly and cheerful. He was my daughter's surgeon so I had met with him in that context before. My first appointment was with Dr. Furman due to Dr. Cunneens busy schedule. Dr. Furman does not perform the surgery but he is warm and kind and an excellent educator. (The kind of doctor you would love to have as your family physician). rnThe office staff are great, they are friendly and efficient. Everyone there is quick to smile. The pre-op education is excellent and thorough. I'm just beginning the aftercare portion but it is strongly encouraged that you keep all post-op appointments and attend support groups they have on location. Dr. Cunneen as well as the nurses went over all the risks of surgery and explained what I could expect. I would give him and his staff a rating of Excellent. I think that surgical competence is the most important but feeling good about your doctor and how he responds to you is an important factor to me also. I am 72 hours out of surgery (a little over 24 in the hospital and now home) and have been nicely surprised that I feel better than I expected. Thank You!

My first impression of Dr. Cunneen was that he seemed like a very patient person, he sat with me and we discussed the surgery what the likely outcome would be and he answered all of my questions patiently and throughly, I loved his office it is clean and well kept, the office staff (although busy) were courteous and professional at all times.

I went for my initial consult and feel so comfortable with Dr. Cunneen. He is informative, thorough and very pleasant. I probably asked a million and one questions and he answered every single last one without hesitation. The nurses and office staff were also wonderful to work with.
Update 9/25/2014 - Still a fantastic and extremely competent surgeon. I felt relaxed knowing I was in excellent care with Dr. Cunneen. He performed my lapband beautifully and then performed my revision to sleeve with the same precision.
