Rita Anderson Bariatric Surgeon M.D., Ph.D.

In my personal opinion, Dr.Rita Anderson (Hadley at the time) was a very upbeat person, encouraging me all the way. Great bedside manner.rnI highly recommend her to anyone.rnShe was very conscientious and caring.rnI looked forward to seeing her every time I went to the office, and was very comfortable with her in the hospital.rnI had some complications after surgery that she dealth with immediatelly and I only had to stay a couple of extra days.rnShe is a very competent surgeon..I trust her judgment completely. She had to make a call of whether to open me back up to see if I had a leak. Some of my labs were high, and indicated a problem. I also had a breathing problem that was addressed in a timely manner.rnHe office staff was very kind to me.rnShe does have a structured after-care program that I couldn't take advantage of because we moved to Florida from Ohio about 5 months after my surgery.rnI rate her a 10 out of 10!!!!

I liked her from the beginning. She is very kind, considerate, encouraging and professional. Her office staff is friendly and personable. I haven't had anything negative occur as of this date, and I am 3 years out from surgery. She does emphasize aftercare, and personal responsibility. Dr. Anderson is very direct regarding the risks of surgery, you know exactly what to expect. I have great respect and admiration for my doctor. Surgical competence is the most important factor, but I find bedside manor to also be a significant factor when you are in a position of vulnerability after surgery. Hope this is helpful to someone.

The most wonderful surgeon I have ever experienced. Now, I've only had 3 surgeries in my entire life and the first 2 were maxilofacial surgeries so, I have to say this one was my very first major surgery EVER. But Dr. Anderson's compassion, care and absolute attention to all details really left a great impression on me. The office staff is extremely attentive and they are always concerned with your safety and well being. Dr. Anderson made me feel comfortable at all times, specially right before surgery when she came into my pre-op room and actually gave me a hug and assured me that I was in good hands and that everything was going to be ok. And it was!!

When I first met Dr. Anderson she was very up beat, outgoing, and WELL DRESSED. She is very understanding to be a small woman like she has been big a day in her life, but she gets us and its not because its her job she really do care. Most doctors give u a pat on the back or a hand shake when they r done with your appointment but not her she gives u a hug and a take care and see u soon. I look forward to my surgery in the upcomming days i do feel that i did find the right doctor for me. I know that no one is perfect that there maybe something that isnt good about Dr. Anderson and when I see them things then I will have something bad to say but for now I dont.

She did my fiancee's surgery in 2005. She is a no nonsense Dr who is not afraid to tell you how it is. This is what I liked the best about her. The office staff are wonderful and very helpful and supportive. Dr Anderson is very involved with your progress after the surgery.
