I am very happy with Dr. Luttrell. He did an fabulous job. He has always had a caring attitude and really wants his patients to succeed. He offers alot of after surgery programs to help you to lose and keep the weight off. Additionally, I really like the fact that he using a Fluoroscope (or something equivalent if that's not what it's called), to help him adjust the band. The Fluoroscope allowed me to get there faster and in few visits.
Dr Luttrell is wonderful. He was very informative and provided answers to all of my questions before surgery and after. I would rate him as a 10 to anyone wishing to have weight loss surgery.rnrnYou couldn't ask for a more professional or helpful staff than his team. Erin is a gem of information if you have questions.rnrnThe only negative that I have with Dr. Luttrell is that you have to drive to Jacksonville North Metro hospital to get your band filled/un-filled. I wish he would have kept his Little Rock location.
My first impression of Dr. Luttrell was that he was very soft spoken for a doctor. My impression didn't really change. I added some other characteristics of him. He's patient, knowledgeable, gentle and genuinely concerned about his patients. His staff mirrors his demeanor completely. They are all wonderful people! I can't say that there is anything that I dislike about him or his staff. The wait to see him when you have an appointment can be long. But I guess that's with any doctor's office. That can be upsetting, especially if you set an appointment for a lunchtime visit and the visit runs close to two hours. Future patients should know that they are going to take care of you at Dr. Luttrell's office. They treat you like family. There is great emphasis on aftercare. Including support group meetings, follow-up appointments, fills, and any questions the patient may have. All of the surgery risks were discussed at length with the option of calling back or emailing any additonal questions or concerns. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being horrible and 10 being Outstanding, I would give him a 9. I think that both surgical competence and bedside manner work hand in hand. A doctor can be the best in their field but have a horrible bedside manner and that can make the patient feel terrible about the procedure. On the other the hand, the surgeon can have a wonderful bedside manner and total screw up the surgery. If that surgeon can find a balance between the two, I think that would work better for the surgeon and of course the patient.
Dr Luttrell was great. During the consultation he was very informative. Also during the seminar.rnrnThe office staff was great and very patient with my many many calls and questions. Regi and Arin were GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!rnrnThey do have once a month seminars that I am going to try to attend each month. Being an hour and half away the traveling will be little harder.rnrn
My first impression of Dr. Luttrell was that he truly wanted to help people lose weight and get healthy and that he firmly believes in the Lap Band Procedure. He takes time with his patients making sure to answer all questions and concerns. Erin and Regi ,who work in his office, are awesome! There wasn't anything I didn't like about Dr. Luttrell or his staff. They were very thorough in explaining all the risks and what to do before and after the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Luttrell and his group!rnrn
I love the care and concern of Dr. Luttrell's entire staff. His seminar is outstanding. He covers everything so well most didn't even have questions. Of course most people have done the research, but still questions how he does certain things. rnMy first appointment, he showed such concern and understanding..... so not the typical family doctor!!! He really understands that we have tried and tried only to fail. rnI want to have this surgery so badly.... I think he knows that, and so far on a scale of 1 to 10, he has a 10+ from me!!!!
I first met Dr. Luttrell when my grandmother was in the hospital for gall bladder surgery. My family appreciated how well he treated my grandma and his bedside manners were exceptional. When I started looking into having bariatric surgery, I did alot of research on the RNY but as time went on I changed my mind and the Lap-Band seemed to fit my lifestyle. So, when I started my research on the Lap-Band procedure and Dr. Luttrell's name came up I was kind of excited. I scheduled my seminar and my first impression of Dr. Luttrell is that he was honest and caring. His office staff (Chyrl and Erin) have been the best support, always readily available, very informantive, and dealt with my 'millions of questions' with patience and understanding.rnrnI'll let you know how I feel regarding the surgery and aftercare next month.
Dr. Luttrell has been awesome!!! When it was discovered my port incision had become infected, he was genuinely concerned about my overall health and not just my weight loss at the time. I saw him about every 3 weeks and each time he made the time needed to ensure I was healing properly and not getting more infected. His fill \"sessions\" are, for lack of a better word.....a breeze....no discomfort whatsoever and he ensures the band is not too tight nor too loose. I would recommend Dr. Luttrell to anyone in the area who is considering lap-band surgery.
