I knew Dr. Rosenthal from my Sister-In-Law who still raves about him three years later... I thought he was outstanding, personable and above all knowlegeable.

He treats his patients with respect, and is realistic in explaining the expectations of each patient.

I would recommend him to anyone.

The hospital and the Bariatric Center have the program down to a science, and it is a smooth operation.

He is a very busy doctor, but that says a lot!

The hospital's staff were average, my first night's nurse was the nurse from hell, so was my nurse the last day. She would not hold my hand as they removed the tube from my gallbladder insicion!!!!

Otherwise it was a very good experience.

Dr Rosenthal is a pleasant, serious, fairly quiet man. The whole system at Cleveland Clinic Weston seems extremely well organized. Staff was accessible but inflexible. I had a couple of requests of them which ellicited a "Sorry, can't do that" kind of response. They have the whole program up and working and see nothing to change. And it IS a whole program. You are carefully led from step 1 right thru post-op and aftercare. Dr Rosenthal is top-notch and I still believe I chose wisely.

First impression-very impressed.
No, he is 5 star with me.
Great staff, even his residents.
Nothing
He is very busy and great.
BIG on after care.
Yes, good program and meetings but I live 266 miles away.
He addressed the risks and we discussed the best type of surgery for me.
5 star
He is a wizard. I had classic RNY by lap. After 3 days discharged and took NO pain meds after that. He is sweet and seemed to know when I was worried and Dr R just took care of me.

I am an x medical person and not real relaxed with MD's or hospitals. All went great.

When I went I had a complete list of questions to ask him (Thanks to this website).
I am having a revision done on a surgery done back in "81". He asked me what was done and by who. It was done in Houston and the Dr. has since passed away. I tried to draw him a picture as I remembered it was supposed to be and he said it couldn't be right. So he wanted to do a endoscopy.
He answered all my questions and then some. Very honest and caring man. His staff are great. He is serious about you knowing what to expect.
I have to tell you before I choose Dr.R, I read all the profiles of his patients and chatted with some of them online. I hate to say it, but I even went to the memorial page to see if any of his patients were there. NONE!
I told him about my friend who has soooo many comorbidities and he said," those are the people who need it most". We're here to help. I also told him, that her dad had called from New York and said, "you need to look up this Dr. I saw on tv". When he said who it was, she told him, "That's Sandi's Dr".
Also the endoscopy showed he was right, he knew exactly what was done in "81" HE'S THE BEST!!!!

Dr. Rosenthal was at the informational meeting. He was very open, direct and very informative. I met him again on my consultation. At that time he was open for questions or any doubts I may have had.
The staff is very nice and return my calls very promptly.
I am going back to my pre-op consultation soon and will let you know.
So far I am very happy with all in his office.

My first impression of Dr. Rosenthal was a good one. Very understanding and willing to answer any questions or concerns. His office staff is great , very knowledgeable and helpful with everything. Dr. Rosenthal gives an impresssion to everyone that meets him of an intelligent person that knows what he is doing and does it with passion. I have been asked who was my surgeon and the minute I mentioned his name they tell me he is the "BEST" in the country. I would rate him and his staff on a scale of 1-10, a 20. They definitely met all my expectation and some.
Thanks again

I met with Dr.Rosenthal on 11/18/05 and found him and his staff to be very informative and helpful with all my questions and helping to get all my pre-op appointments together. I seen one of his residents and he and I had good conversation and he was very knowledgable regarding the procedure and Dr.Rosenthal's expectations and care.

I also got to see up close and personal Dr.Rosenthals care. My co-worker had surgery with him on 11/17/05 and she is doing very well so far. When I walked in I was expecting her to be either in pain or some for of discomfort...she stated other than the gas in her tummy...she felt fine...so that eased my jiters alot although I know everyone is different.

I am scheduled to go to his class tomorrow evening and speak with the insurance person when I'm there.

I'm on my way!

I have just found out that the same Surgeon who performed the gastric bypasses on both my cousin and his wife is a contracted physician with my health insurance. Tomorrow, 8-2-2005, I will be contacting my PCP for a written referral. And so my journey truly begins.

9/2405 - I met with Dr Rosenthal and his staff at Cleveland Clinic Weston and I have to say they are all very compassionate people. Dr Rosenthal is a quiet man - however he is complete in his analysis and very responsive to your quesitons. He has a wonderful reputation and the Bariatric WL Center has it together.

Frist impression of doctor Rosenthal was "wow he has big eyes". So he surely will be able to see everything he needs to do. Which is a good thing. Dr.Rosenthal is very professional. When I first met with him he told me that I was perfect candiate for gastric bypass. He assured me that if all my testing went well I would have my surgery begining of 2005. For some reason once he told me about the date I knew I was in good hands. I also heard from friends that he was one of the best. My surgery was on Jan 3,2005 just like he said. I have no negative things to say about Dr.R. My surgery was very successful thanks to Dr.Rosenthal and his crew. Office staff however, are a bit rude at times. Not the entire staff. Just a few in which not mention any names. Rosenthal is very straightforward when he meets with you he gose over your qualifications and tells you about surgery and what procedures you have to follow and do. Overrall, I rate him out 1-10. A ten. This men knows exactly what his doing and if you choose to to go with him you are in the best hands. Along with with the heavenly father, of course. When you go to oreintation Dr.Rosenthal will expalin everything you need to know about gastric bypass. He will answer any of questions you may have. He's fantistic. I will definately recommend him.

dr rosenthal is a great doctor. He is compassionate. His staff is caring and understanding. when i went in for my surgery he made sure i got to say goodbye and kiss my husband before he started the surgery. The staff is well informed and i could not find a better doctor or facility to go to. The hospital staff was great and they took good care of me. right down to a bath with real baby powder for my back.
