Ramen Goel Bariatric Surgeon

Excellent Surgeon and great team. I am super happy. I healed quickly and I'm doing really well. I'm 8 days post of and lost 5kgs already.

My surgeon was Dr. Ramn Goel of Wockhardt Hospital in Mumbai, India.rnrnI found Dr. Goel when researching the sleeve procedure and discussing my options with a medical tourism outfit named Recover-Discover.rnrnI live and work in Dubai, Dr Goel practices in Mumbai so the first contact I had with Dr. Goel was on the telephone. We spoke several times, he gave me his private cell number and he was always most reassuring, honest and helpful with any question or concern I had. He is a master at laparoscopic gastric surgery. rnrnWhen I arrived in Mumbai everything was arranged at the hospital. Everything went like clockwork, all the tests and exams and prep work for the operation on the day after my arrival. Dr Goel was available to oversee everything and ensure my test results were reviewed as required. The entire process was carried out efficiently and professionally by a staff that really cared about their patient and what they were doing. It made the entire process that much easier to handle.rnThe day of the surgery, flew by and before I knew it, I was in recovery and they were bringing my wife in to visit me. It was over, no complications, no drama.rnrnThe follow-up care has gone well. I was given a complete release instruction package from Dr. Goel and the Wockhardt Hospital on my release. It's easy to follow and was very informative. I've been in touch with Dr Goel and the assisting surgeons as I need to with any questions about supplements, exercise or after care. I have met this surgeon only once and that was sufficient for me to know that I will be comfortable in entrustin my life into his hands...He came across as extremely knowledgeable, down to earth and really patient..He was a good listener and answered all my questions calmly and satisfactorily. Most probably, I may take a decision to get the gastric bypass done by him. He explained the risks and future implications also, very well.. I would like to rate him a 9 on 10...I hope to +vely take this decision and go through the surgery in 2008 itself (this month)

i flew to india from the uk on the 20th september 2008.rnit was a very big culture shock as we drove to the hospital.rnon arrival i was whisked away for pre-op tests which took hours.there was not a part of me that wasnt checked.the tests were extremely thorough ensuring no suprises once i was in theatre.rndr ramen goel is a fantastic surgeon who saved my life and i would recommend him to anyone.not only was he the only one to release me from this huge body when drs in the uk turned their backs on me but due to complications with a hernia i had, he had to rush me back to theatre and so did in actual fact save my life.rnthe only fault i have with dr ramen goel is that he works in india and not the uk!rneveryone who looked after me at wockhardt hospital mumbai from dr goel down to the domestic staff were fantastic.i can not praise them enough and i would rate them 100 percent.

He is highly professional; you can trust him with your life (I did). I am a detail-oriented stickler myself and perceive him as much the same, which is probably why I was comfortable with him. He overlooks nothing, doesn't hurry, doesn't take risks, and is unfailingly courteous.
