Doctor Hornbostel is a very knowledgeable and very competent at what he does ! I attending an information session in March and had my Rny in June . Doc H takes every precaution to make sure you are a good candidate for his program , and His office staff are Great and So is Cindy his assistant. Sharon the receptionist is awesome too , she visited the day after surgery with a basket that held things I could use such as tea's coffee jello broths and a Big water bottle , when you call into the office you will be greated with her bubbly personality although she is very very busy. I am two almost 3 weeks out and am doing great ! can't say enough about Doc H and His staff !
Dr. Hornbostel is a great surgeon and his wife Margie is the best. They are always just a phone call away anytime if you need them. Perioperative care was awesome...pre-op, intra-op and post-op. They answer all of your questions and are very honest with you and concerned about your health. I would recommend them to anyone considering to have WLS. :)
I was impressed with him. He is straight to the point and stresses following the guidelines that he has established so that you have the best results. He is caring and competent and I look forward to my surgery. He does have guidelines for before and after surgery. There is follow up and he wants to continue seeing his patients every year so that he can monitor how a person is doing.
Competence and bedside manner are equally important and go hand in hand with one another.
I am sure I will have more to add once I have my surgery, but for now I would recommend him to others.
I have not had my surgery yet so I wont be able to hit all of the questions. First I would like to say my first impression of my doctor was he seems awsome. He did his own orrientation and it was on Easter so that was a bonus. After meeting him personally he didnt change my mind on how i feel. His nurse is really nice anytime I have a question I know I can call. The ladies up front are really nice as well. I would have to say that I would recomend him to anyone that I meet having the surgery. I guess the only thing I dont like about him is he is located about 2 hours from where we live but on the other note it is very worth it. He is very strict about following the directions before and after the surgery. He and the nurse both explained the risk and complications with the surgery very well. So far i would rate him a 10 out of 1 to 10.
Dr Hornbostel was an amazing doctor. His "assistant" Margie was so awesome. They took such good care of me. When I went to my appointments at the office or called, the office staff could have been a little more cheerful but Margie defintely made up for it. She even gave me her cell phone number in case I had any questions or concerns and couldnt reach her at the office.
