What a great person...very caring, with an excellent bedside attitude. Would recommend Dr. Rovito to anyone.

SO far, Dr. ROvito seems like a peach! HE's nice, explains everything carefully, and answers all questions seriously, no matter how stupid. I think there's a reason they call him "the king"!

Today I met with Dr. Rovito. He was very nice and to the point. I feel very secure with putting my life in his hands. He provided a very comfortable atmophere and answered all of my questions.

Dr Rovito was thorough in regards to
the possible complications even though I am
a nurse. I did appreciate that because I
have had interactions with physicians who did not take the time to explain certain
procedure. My first impression was that he
seemed friendly and energetic. He certainly
communicates clearly and is not a person who
quiet and introspective.
The office staff was nice and I did not have
anybody with a bad attitude and everyone who
came into the office was greeted by their name respectfully.
I can not verbalize anything negative about the doctor at this point.
The doctor does not do aftercare programs.
As far as rating the Dr Rovito I would say
he would get a good rating for the first two visits I have had.
As far the information I gathered Dr Rovito
states he does approximately 4 lap rny surgeries a week, bedside manner is an easy manner and not pseudointelligent with any
affectations.

I have known Dr. Rovito for years working at the same hospital. He was always friendly and very personable. Dealing with him on a personal level now, I feel very fortunate to have him as my surgeon. He immediately put me at ease. He takes the time to answer your questions. He explains everything including all the risk. I have met with him twice now and I am more excited than ever to have this surgery.

His office staff Barbara and Karen are great as well. They are friendly, caring, helpful.

I give Dr. Rovito and his office staff a 10.

I met with Dr. Rovito for the first time about a month ago and absolutely loved him! he doesnt pull any punches and we actually had quite a good conversation..he is very easy going and has a great sense or humor yet is very understanding and compassionate with his patients..I know i'm in good hands!

I've only met once with Dr. Rovito and he seemed
very helpful and knowledgeable.

His office staff was extremely helpful.

I was a little disappointed that Dr. Rovito
didn't have a formal program for pre-and post
operative patients to follow. But as he says,
he is only the surgeon, not a nutritionist.

Future patients should be more proactive and
schedule appointments with dietician, etc. and
be sure to research and prepare thoroughly before
surgery.

All risks were discussed.

Plus': He's board certified, he was referred
by my endocronologist, and he was very easy
to talk to. Minus: With such a serious life
changing surgery, it would be helpful if Dr.
Rovito would have a referral list of other
experts to contact with dietary and emotional
support. Rate: 9

Both surgical competence and bedside manner
are very important.

BEFORE MY FIRST VISIT WITH DR. ROVITO, I FELT LIKE I WAS AUDITIONING TO HAVE SURGERY. I WANTED TO HAVE ALL THE RIGHT ANSWERS TO HIS QUESTIONS SO HE WOULD PICK ME. FIVE MINUTES INTO THE VISIT I REALIZED THIS WASN'T THE CASE. I HAD ALREADY DECIDED TO HAVE THE SURGERY AND HE WAS MY CHOICE AS MY SURGEON AND THAT WAS THAT.I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH HIS OFFICE STAFF. THEY KNOW ALL THE INS AND OUTS OF THE INSURANCE GAME.
DR. ROVITO COMES OUT TO THE WAITING ROOM TO GREET HIS NEXT PATIENT AND WALKS THEM BACK TO HIS OFFICE. NOW THATS A NICE PRACTICE.AT MY SECOND VISIT, I WAS MADE AWARE OF ALL THE RISKS AND POSSIBLE PROBLEMS THAT COULD ARISE AFTER THIS SURGERY. I HAD DONE ALOT OF RESEARCH ON GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY SO I DIDN'T HAVE MANY QUESTIONS. I MET ONE OF DR. ROVITO'S SUCCESS STORIES AND SHE ANSWERED ALOT OF THE QUESTIONS I HAD ABOUT THE SURGERY AND POST SURGERY. AFTER MY SURGERY I WILL BE ABLE TO COMMENT ON HIS BEDSIDE MANNER AND SURGICAL COMPETENCE. AT THIS POINT I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY CHOICE OF DR. ROVITO AS MY SURGEON. I DID GET THE FEELING THAT EVERY THING HINGED ON THE INSURANCE COMPANY'S APPROVAL AND NOW I KNOW WHY.
Well I'm 2 months post-op and I feel great. So I have to say my choice of surgeons was right on. I have found this surgery and aftercare to be a very individual experience, and that is how Dr. Rovito approaches it. There does not seem to be one answer for everyone.

I loved my surgeon. He is GREAT!! A bit of a fast talker, you might even say preoccupied, but I do feel he has genuine concern over his patients.

I the hospital always in touch, in fact I had a follow up only 3 days after surgery.

He told every good and bad that could happen after surgery but I am the type that looks for the good in any of the bad.
