Paul E. Enochs Bariatric Surgeon MD, FACS, FASMBS

I found my surgeon using this site while researching bariatric surgery. I picked two in my area that had tons of experience and went to both of their educational seminars. My 1st impression on Dr. Enochs was very favorable. His seminar helped to cement my decision to pursue RNY. He addressed all of the positive and negative aspects of the surgery types along with the risk involved with each. I have nothing but good things to say about him and his staff. They helped to make this journey as stress free as I think it could possibly be. Between his experience and outstanding bedside manner I would recommend Dr. Enochs to ANYONE that was considering bariatric surgery.

Dr. Enochs is a superb surgeon. His bedside manner is amazing. His voice is so soft and gentle - like butter! He is incredibly patient - no question is stupid or irrelevant.rnrnHe and his office staff have this process down to a science. They are a well-oiled machine and are adept at getting you the answers you need as well as any help you may need along the way. They have 2 ladies dedicated to just the insurance process alone and they are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.rnrnI would highly recommend Dr. Enochs for anyone considering any type of WLS.

--First I want to say that I absolutely love his smile! He seems very interested in everyone's questions. Looks like a really cool guy. I cant wait to have my initial consultation with him next Tuesday (9/9/08)!rn--Well my first appt he seems nice, a typical doctor I say, he is great and all but I didn't see anything significant. He was very interested in my questions.

My first impression at a informational seminar was that he was very informal and spoke with great confidence. The office staff is less to be desired especially this one coordinator in particular. But for the most part the office people are average. Dr. Enoch sat with me and answered all my questions and of course the first question I asked him was if he believed in God. He said absolutely and I knew I was on my way to a great journey. The thing I least like about Dr. Enoch but I don't know if this is him or his office- I have had appointments and I would have to wait over hours. I remember my first appointment I waited for 2.5 hrs because they were behind and it seems like EVERY time I go in there I have to wait. Dr. Enoch was very frank with me the risks of surgery and espeically since I have had a splenectomy and he didn't know if the gastric bypass could be done lapascopic or not and wouldn't know until time of surgery. One thing I am fretting over is that my surgery was scheduled for 11/6 and I got a call form his office and said he wanted to reschedule for 11/13. Now I am already nervous and was ready only to prolong the anxiety for another week. For now I would rate Dr. Enoch an 8 out of 10- have to see after surgery.

Dr. Enochs is a very warm, caring and soft-spoken doctor. He focuses completely on you and your situation and is a good listener. The office staff are extremely helpful and efficient. Dr. Enochs and his entire staff will be very encouraging and will take the time to answer all your questions and put you at ease. The aftercare program is really good, as they have a monthly support group and the nurses ENCOURAGE you to call if you need to. I would give Dr. Enochs a 5 out of 5 stars. Both his professional competence and his bedside manner are top rate.

Dr. Enochs is very professional. He made me feel comfortable and reassured me that I would be fine. The entire office staff from the first minute I walked in made me feel good. I am very impressed with the way they help patients. I have had all of my labwork, x-rays and appointments with the Dietician and Psychologist. I cannot wait to start my new life. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about Dr. Enochs and his staff. I feel very fortunate to be able to have them help me. I cannot wait to start my new life. I chose gastric bypass because I am an emotional eater and I know this will help me with discipline. Thank you so much Dr. Enochs and your wonderful staff! My surgery was on October 6th and everything went fine. I knew it would because of Dr. Enoch's expertise. He is by far a 12 on a scale of 1-10. I would recommend him to anyone that is in need of changing their life. He is Number 1 in my book. Excellent Rating!

I first learned of Dr. Enochs while I was chanel surfing one night and saw him on the Rex On Call show talking about WLS. That was the very moment that I decided to actually go through with the procedure. rnrnI went to an information seminar the following Thursday and met him and several of his office staff in person and I was very impressed. Dr. Enochs had a calm and comforting nature and was very precise and willing to answer all questions. Angelica, Lisa and Jana were also there and they were very pleasant as well. A major concern of mine was whether or not insurance would cover the surgery and Angelica provided prompt and accurate information so that I could make a spur-of-the moment decision to drop my insurance and get on my husbands (ironically his open enrollment period with BCBS was that week).rnrnAnother thing that I really like about Dr. Enochs and his practice is that there are monthly support group meetings, a clothing exchange, special guest speakers, etc. to help along the way - and for me, to keep me accountable and on track.rnrnOn a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate Dr. Enochs a 10 for both surgical competence and bedside manner, which is a very rare find as far as physicians / surgeons go.

10/12/2008 I am 13 days out from my Lap RNY and gallbladder removal...and I feel great! Dr. Enoch and his staff have been wonderful. Jana at the office is always helpful and Lisa is very knowledgeable. This was the first surgery I have ever experienced. I am glad I made the choice to go with Dr. Enochs and his staff!rnrn09/16/2008 rnToday was my final consultation with Dr. Enochs and his staff. I have decided to have gastric bypass (change from the lap band). I am extremely pleased with the treatment I have received from Dr. Enochs and his staff, they provided thorough inforamtion on both the lap band and the gastric bypass. Dr. Enochs his staff are very professional and understanding. If you are ever looking for a doctor in the NC area do your homework and check out Dr. Enochs!rnrn06/03/2008rnI honestly found it hard to believe many of the reviews regarding Dr. Enochs. I believed it was too good to be true. I was very nervous about making the decision to have the Lap Band. I had my first appointment with Dr. Enochs today and it was great. The whole process was positive. I was impressed from the moment I entered the office and saw the large size chairs. My first thought was \"they thought about the people who don't fit into the regular chairs!\" My next great moment was when Dr. Enochs entered the room and actually sat down to talk with me and ask me if I had any questions! Amazingly enough, this doctor sat there patiently while actually holding a conversation. So far I am thoroughly impressed and can not wait until my next appointment!

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Enochs and his staff. They have been the best and I don't think this experience could have been any better. First, I want to say, Dr. Encochs has an awesome bedside manner. He is so friendly and down to earth. He takes time to explain things to you and he is more than happy to answer any questions that you may have. When he talks to you, he makes you feel like you are the only patient he has. He gives you his undivided attention and he is very honest. And now to his staff, they are very much on point. They take their job very seriously and they are dedicated to making your experience with their services top notch. They don't waste your time, they return your calls, they are at the top of the game when it comes to dealing with insurance providers. They submitted my paperwork to the insurance provider on Thursday and I had an approval letter by Monday! His team of professionals are that in deed PROFESSIONAL.

I had to pick a surgeon who was the closest to where I live and that took Medicaid, I noticed alot of good things being said about Dr. Enochs so I picked him, I like him he is very calm and charming. He did my gallbladder surgery and that went fine. I like him.
