Dr. Foster is a no nonsense doctor sho knows what she is doing.

First impression was that she knew her stuff. Over our next few meetings it was great to know that she could relate to my concern about having the surgery when I had people telling me that if I tried just a little bit harder I could lose the weight. Dr. Foster let me know that is OK to have surgery and that I wasn't a failure but that I was taking advantage of all the tools available.rnrnThe office staff is nice and helpful. Yvette really knows her stuff and is always there when you need her.rnrnNot sure at this time what I like least about Dr. Foster.rnrnFuture patients should know if you are on the fence Dr. Foster will not push you over she will lay out all the pros and cons and tell you the decision is yours to make. If you ask for her opinion she will give it.rnrnDr. Foster recommends that you do the program. That you start walking before leave the hospital and continue with the program outline in the book you received at your hospital pre-op. That you start doing resistance training as soon as you feel comfortable doing it. And most importantly that you don't do too much at once. rnrnDr. Foster is a join to work with.rn

My first impression of Dr. Foster was that she was no nonsense and very competent. This impression remained true throughout my experinces so far. The office staff was very nice and helpful. She had an excellent recommendation from a previous patient in my area and she was assiciated with a Center of Excellence hospital as well. I think their office could improve their aftercare program. The associated hospital has a good program, but for long distance patients such as myself, I would like more structured support from them. Overall Dr. Foster and her staff were an excellent choice for me. She recieved praise from the bariatric coordinator of Mills Penninusula Hospital as well, which meant a lot to me. (Who would know better??).

My first impression of Dr Foster was I thought she was great. I still love her, I feel she has saved my life, and I am so glad my primary physcian referred me to her. Her office staff is extremely helpful. The only negative thing I can think of to say is that she is usually running late, I had to wait 2 hours to see her once. Her aftercare is great, and I actually look forward to seeing her. I would rate Dr Foster a 9.5 out of 10. I would and have recommended her to friends.

Dr. Foster is fantastic. She presents herself with confidence and professionalism. She helped me and my boyfriend to better understand the risks and benefits of surgery with out sugar coating. The nurses and receptionist in her office are all really sweet, and helpful. I would rate Dr. Foster a 10 overall. I am not interested in having a doctor who will baby me through this process, I want someone who is realistic and competent. Dr. Foster is just right.

My first impression of Dr. Foster was that I liked her a lot. She was very knowledgeable and I truly felt like this was going to be a successful endeavor. I had some problems in the beginning with the office staff trying to cancel appointments when I live 600 miles round trip and had already made hotel reservations, time off from work, etc...but we overcame this problem and it was resolved. This only happened twice in the umteen times I went. Yvette and many of the staff there are wonderful! Like I said only in the beginning did I have an issue with the receptionist. rnrnDr. Foster is friendly and personable; I like her a lot and she knows her stuff. Although she's a no nonsense kind of doctor - she expects you to follow the rules so you will be successful.rnrnThe after care program is thorough with set time for visits and followups., labs, etc. rnrnShe goes over the risks of surgery before you even start the insurance authorization and doesn't sugar coat what could happen. She will evaluate your risk factors and expect you to lose at least 20 lbs to get you in the mind set. I lost 35 prior to my surgery by talking with her nutritionalist - we did it.rnrnI've lost 154 pounds (including the 35) and feel healthy and active. I don't regret it! I feel really fortunate to have such a great surgeon...I would rate her overall 100% on surgical competence and follow up visits. rnrnLeast favorite thing: I was disappointed that she didn't stop in to see me at all after my surgery while I was in the hospital. I was there for five days and she didn't make it in once. She did have the hospital rounds doctor check on me after I was there for two days...I never did see her, which bothered me a lot. But in spite of that, I wouldn't change a thing about any of it.rnrnI guess the most important thing to me was that she is an excellent surgeon and you will be in good hands if you go with thinnerfuture.com Dr. Pamela Foster.rnrnJan

I am a very detail oriented and careful person. I knew from the beginning that she was the one for me. I highly recommend her she is an excellent Doctor. She is strict, honest and open. She made me loose weight when other doctors don't. This was not fun but it has been a life changing experience for me.

Dr. Foster is wonderful! Hands down she is the best at what she does! I would and have recommended her to several people. She is very informative, incredibly supportive, extremely knowledgeable, and eager to answer my questions. In fact, she never hesitates to answer any of my questions and even if I don't have an appointment she takes time out of her busy day to help me. Her staff is exceptional as well. I really appreciate everything that her and her staff have done for me.

Wow! I was talking to the Dietitian re: the ThinnerFuture website and she told me there was an opening in the afternoon with Dr. Foster if I would be willing to meet with her instead of Dr. Wetter. I jumped at the opportunity. I didn't have any paperwork done at the time, but with a little help from the office staff and Donna the dietitian, everything worked out fine. I didn't feel prepared enough, I didn't have my long list of questions for the surgeon with me...I was nervous. I finally met with Dr. Foster and although she is definitely no-nonsense, I felt very comfortable with the fact that she was there to help me. She made me aware of the long road ahead of me. I have a lot of pre-op work to do, but I am finding that it is the true test to ensure that I am really ready to make this drastic change in my life. Dr. Foster let me know that the surgery is a "tool" but the hard work has to come from me. The realization that there is no "cure all" hit me hard, but I am glad she was frank with me and set me straight...on the path to "change".
