My first impression of Dr. Foster, was Wow, she's straight forward and to the point. I appreciated her honesty in everything. Her cheerful smile the next day after surgery, and her skillfulness during the surgery.

Dr. Foster is all about business. Straight to the point but still caring. I will be 6 months post op on September 3rd and have had no problems with anything major. I had one incident where I was feeling a pull in my side, I called the office and Dr. Foster called me later that day herself to check on the matter. Which I might add was just my body healing. After my surgery when she went to get my Mom and let her know everything was all right with me, she sat and spoke with my Mom for awhile. Dr. Foster's staff is quick and efficient. She just really cares about her patients and them being healthy afterwards by eating and getting the right nutrients. Love her, love her, love her.

She was fantastic I really like her. The staff are friendly and helpful as well. She is tough though and expects you to follow through with all of her instructions. She doesn't have as much structure to her aftercare program but does encourage support groups and has regularly scheduled follow up appointments. Also, she helped me find a good plastic surgeon to deal with my skin issues. I rate her very high. She has a decent bedside manner but is not extremely warm but I value surgical skills much higher than bedside manner.

I loved Dr Foster from the very start! First of all she \"fixed\" my sister and now it's my turn!rnDr. Foster is very smart and I felt a calm when I met her.. I feel like I can trust her!rnrnDr Foster's staff are all awesome and very professional. They make the process easy!rnrnThe thing I like least about this doctor is that she is not in the East Bay. I had to travel a little ways to get to her. Believe me she is well worth it!rnrnFuture patients should know that Dr Foster does not play, she is no nonsense kind of lady.

She seemed like a very interested yet no nonsense kind of a doctor. Her staff was very courteous and helpful. They have a very structured before and aftercare program. She took lots of time with me and discussed all the different options available to me and also emphasized the hard work that has to go along with any of the surgeries. She is a very knowledgeable and experienced doctor in the bariatric field. I would definitely recommend her and her office. My only complaint was that she wanted me to lose 10 lbs. pre surgery. I guess that's not a bad thing.

I fyou are concidering having the surgery by Dr, Foster you might want to read my story first. Dr. Foster performed hte surgery on me four years ago and four years later I am expereinsing life threatning complications and not only is she not helping me in any way but she has dropped my insurence so I can't even see her. I was told that my visit would be anywhere from $200.-$600 but they couldn't tell me how much tell after the visit. They still refused to help even after they knew that I was completly disabled from being able to work due to hyperincalimic hypoglycimia due to gastric bypass. One year of wrighting her e-mails and calling her and begging for help and all I get is a call from her staff refering me to another doctor. You see you need to make sure that your doctor is not going to stop using your insurence in case you get ill and if they do that they will not charge you for your visit. That is how most surgons are set up, even Stanford has a 'no pay\" program in case this happens becaue everyone knows that if a serious problem arises that it is almost close to imposible to get anyone to do a reversal except for your surgeon. Some doctors are just in it for the money and do not care for there patients well being after they have gotten there check. Good Luck

Dr. Foster is very, very good. She is no nonsense and I very much appreciate that. Her office staff is helpful and they have anticipated most questions/concerns. The appointments preop handled my questions; they have a little preop class at the hospital that required which is run by the bariatric nurses.

I thank God every day for Dr. Foster! She is the perfect doctor for me. Kind, caring, and compassionate, but will absolutely not baby you or take any excuses. This is exactly what I needed. Some people do not like her because she is too \"scrict\". Yes, she expects much from you, but only because she wants you to be as successful as possible. My surgery was delayed several months because my iron level was too low to operate safely . Although the wait was frustrating for me, I appreciate the fact that my safety was her #1 concern. She has a zero mortality rate because she will not operate until she is sure you will be safe. I appreciate this very much. You cannot have a better doctor than Dr. Foster. Yes, you will have to work hard (I had to lose 30 pounds prior to surgery), but it is worth it. My surgery went perfectly (laproscopic RNY) and you can't put a price on that!
