Hey Everyone I was Sleeved Dec 17 2019 before that I was miserable had asthma so bad I was on 3 diff inhalers had sleep apnea, had neuropathy in my left foot so bad Had the dreaded Diabetes my A1c was 7.9 now its a 5.8 no longer on metformin an Lisinopril to protect my kidney badly depressed due to weight gain I was an emotional eater it became a sickness to where I would eat til I was sick i was so tired of not being able to go to store and find stuff in my size Instead I always thought I looked like a busted can of biscuits . my most embarrassing time ws I choose to go hike up south mountain state park mountain I cudnt even make it half way i was so out of breath and body riddled with pain but I made it half way and my mom and kids was making it back . im so glad I got into a primary care dr that listened to me blc she gave me a chance to get my life back As of now ive lost 100 pounds and 43% excess body weight im Soo proud of myself. Dr. Cox is a wonderful physician. He is very informative about the surgery and made sure that I knew what I needed to know before having it done. He had a great bedside manner too.rnHis office staff are undescribable. They are all just fantastic and willing to help in anyway they can. rnI would pick the team at Hickory, NC all over again, and Dr. Cox.

My surgeon was Monty Cox, Hickory. He was very informative, friendly and helpful. He does excellent work and so does his staff at Frye Surgical Weight Loss Center. Each visit is awesome. EVERYONE is friendly and I feel very comfortable picking up the phone and giving them a call no matter how silly I think the question might be. I feel very blessed to have had this team on my side. They didn't let me down and I won't let them down!!!!! Thanks a million Frye Surgical Weight Loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had my consult with Dr. Cox on September 15, 2007. He was very open and informative, taking the time to answer all my questions completely. His office staff was helpful. I have had the most interaction with Lisa Craig. She has been very responsive to my calls and prompt with filing the predeterminations to my insurers. So far a big thumbs up for all involved.

I've only met Dr. Cox once so far. He is very pleasant and professional. My dealings with his office staff have been positive in every respect. Their program is well structured and extremely informative. It is designed so that you have plenty of time to think about what your're doing and why before you ever have to make a final decision. They are very open to helping with any questions or concerns I've had. Overall a very positive experience.

I had my first 1 on 1 visit with Dr. Cox. I went in a little scared. But, when I came out I was very comfortable. I asked him many questions and he was very thorough and patient. I did not feel rushed and he made me feel that all my questions were important and deserved attention. PROPS to Dr. Cox.12/15/07

What can I say about Dr. Cox? He went above and beyond to make me feel good about my decision. He is always willing to answer any question, however silly it is! His office staff is wonderful, I didn't have to do anything about my insurance. Lisa, in his office took care of everything! His aftercare program is very intense. It is designed for success!!!!

Dr. Cox is a wonderful surgeon. From the first time I met him all the way up till now when I only see him every few months he has been a pleasure to work with! He is caring and compassionate and always seems interested in what's going on in your life. The office staff well everywhere upstairs and downstairs are a delight!!! Caring and compassionate as well, they make each visit enjoyable...even if it is going to a doctor's office. The entire staff including Dr. Cox talks openly about risks and benefits and they take great pride in their aftercare. I have been told many many times to call 24 hrs a day if I have a question or problems or anything of that nature. I would rate Dr. Cox and the Hickory SUrgical Team a 10! Anyone in my area that's even thinking about having this done should check their program out. I should be a spokesperson!!

Dr. Cox Is absolutely awesome. He was very professional and informative. He went over every step in great detail and told me exactly what to expect and what I had to do as well. His staff is wonderful. They are there if you have any questions or concerns and are more than helpful...They are very supportive. I was a high risk due to my history of respiratory failure but Dr. Cox sent me to see the vascular surgeon..Dr. Kiell and he put in a greenfield sleeve as a precaution. I would highly reccommend Dr. Cox to anyone interested in WLS. He is very professional, very informative, with a great big heart and a super bedside manner. I thank God for bringing Dr. Cox and the WLS staff into my life. My life has changed so much since my surgery May 23, 2006. Dr. Cox had no problem accepting me with Medicare and I am so thankful that there are doctors like him and Dr. Cook who care enough about obesity to give people like me a chance at a longer, healthier life. God, Dr. Douglas Schultz (my PCP) Robin Webster, Dr. Jeff Smith, Hickory Surgical, The WLS staff, Dr. Kiell, Dr.Monty Cox and my friend Taren Beck, my family and my sweetheart are all the reasons I am alive, happy, and healthier than I have been in years. Thanks to each and every one of you. Dr. Cox \"YOU ROCK IN MY BOOK\" Hickory Surgical is the best place for WLS. The Hospital...(Frye Regional Medical Center is super.
