My first impression of Dr. Todd was GREAT!!! He is so caring and shows sincere concern. The staff at his office was nice and cheerful. I went to the orientation and that night went to a support. Dr. Todd was there and answered all the questions thouroughly. He is very intelligent. To rate him at this point from a 1 - 10 with 10 being the best, I would say he is a 10 1/2.
I was patient 1125. The surgeon is up on the newest aspects relating to bariatric surgery. Appointments usually run 1-2 hours late if they are with the surgeon himself. Pre-op I felt confident with the level of care I was receiving. Even though there are regular post-op appointments, I have not felt that I have had help or had questions answered since surgery. I have been told it is up to me to find out why I have been sick, even though I have been following all the rules and not really trying anything new. I am having to turn to my PCP to try to get answers.
I met with him 2/7/07! The doctor he's nice, caring, and compassionate. At 1st I was worried, my appt took forever, and the office was so busy. It seemed like a mad house! But once it was finally my turn I was excited and relieved, he took his time and answered all my question and was really personable. He was great and very informative! The office staff was great they have all had the procedure so that made me feel more comfortable!
Dr. Todd and his staff have been great to me. They have worked long and hard to get my packet sent into insurance. I appreciate their time and patience.I did find that I needed to be an advocate in my own care and check to make sure things were moving. Remember Dr.Todd's staff have alot of patients they are processing, So check and make sure your tests are done and they have all they need.
When I first met Dr. Todd I was impressed with his doctor patient relationship. There were a few times when I was scheduled for an appointment, and sat waiting for a long time to be seen. I'm a very patient person, so it wasn't that big of a deal. The staff was very helpful, and caring when ever I'd call with a question, or visit the office. Dr. Todd has a great since of humor, and a light caring repore. There isn't anything that I can say that I like least about this surgeon. Future patients should know that he and his staff are dedicated to all their patients with assisting them with billing, support group meetings, and WLS resources. Dr. Todd strongly recommends that all his patients keep up with follow-up care, and if they do move out of the state. Be sure to get a doctor who specializes, or has experience with WLS patients. He's also an avid promotor for support group meetings. His after care program is a network of him working with your primary care physician to make sure that you are wll taken care of through your new begining. He did address the risks of surgery at every appointment, and assured me that there were risks with every major surgery. If I had any questions, or doubts to feel free to contact him, or one of his nurses. This was my first ever surgery, and overnight hospital stay. I must say that if I ever have any other surgery that the following surgeons have some pretty big shoes to fill. I would rate my experience with Dr. Todd as an A+++++ in my book. Both this doctors bedside manor, and surgical competence were awsome. I have to say that he has been the first physician to ever offer prayer with me. It put me at ease in a way that no medication could.
I first met Dr. Todd 3 and a half months ago when he operated on my friend. rnrnI think he is a man walking in faith and I like how he is pretty straight up with ya. He won't sugar coat anything. rnHe has a great staff and am always greeted with joy when I call. rnrnHis only down fall is he is a pretty busy guy. So you can feel rushed in a appointment with him. I did not care for that part. He is always on the run and has something to do as soon as your done. So that makes for un answered questions when your done. So I would say write down anything you have and then go see him. rnrnOverall though I wouldn't have used anyone else.
