I met with Dr Tarnoff today. I was very impressed with him and his office staff.

Dr Tarnoff is a very well spoken, knowledgable surgeon. He explained the program at NEMC and what to expect during and after surgery. Dr Tarnoff answered all questions thoroughly and reviewed the possible complications and risks.

I feel very comfortable having him perform this surgery. He discussed aftercare and what I need to do for continued success after the surgery. This surgery is a tool that he is giving me to assist me in my lifestyle goals. It is not a cure-all.

I would rate Dr Tarnoff very high among surgeons. I have had surgeries before but never had a surgeon sit with me and explain the risks and complications beforehand. I feel that the NEMC program is the best around.

It is more important for me to have a surgeon that is surgically competent than for he or she to have a good bedside manner. However, Dr Tarnoff seems to possess both, so I am very lucky.

Dr Tarnoff is a wonderful gifted surgeon. He put me at ease the first time I met him. He was very helpful and patient with my questions and concerns. The office staff was great as well. Very helpful. I didnt feel patronized with anyone at Tufts-NEMC I dealt with. Post-op in the hospital, I was visited several times a day by either Dr Tarnoff or a fellow surgeon, and I felt like they all genuinely cared about me and how I felt. Overall, a great experience!!

my first impression of dr tarnoff was how young he was. i'm not going to lie, that kind of bothered me a bit. but, after speaking with him, i found him to be very articulate and, more importantly, very confident and sure of himself.
i then checked out his "resume" on www.smallscars.com, and could tell that he was very well studied and experienced.
i was very appreciative when he personally called me at home to see if i had any questions.
i also appreciated that he stopped by to say hi right before my surgery. i wasn't expecting that.
i rate him as excellent in terms of surgical competence and bedside manner. he came to check on me, in the hospital, numerous times.

I met with Dr. Tarnoff and was very pleased that he was the doctor assigned to me. He was very personable, answered all my questions and was sure not to rush me out of the office until I was happy. His people skills seemed great and I was very comfortable with him.

The office staff (Lynne) was more than helpful and good natured.

Dr. Tarnoff did emphasize the risks, challenges and importance of follow-up visits as well as post-op help. He did not down play any part of the operation, making it clear that although risks were low, they are a reality. He even offered to have another meeting if I felt that any family members would be interested in meeting him and asking their own questions. I thought that was nice since a lot of doctors I have met don't like to be bothered by the family and their insessent questioning. :o)

I am very happy that I have Dr. Tarnoff as my surgeon. I feel that he is competent and at the same time I am comfortable with him. I know that I have placed all positive comments in this note but that is what I feel and I honestly hope my positive review of the doctor can continue after my next visit.

Dr Tarnoff was a very well spoken doctor who took time to explain the operation and complications. Dr. tarnoff listened to your questions and answered all of them. He also made it very clear that you as the patient had some work to do before surgery and if you did what was asked you were a go for surgery. The sec. for the dr's was great she took care of everything with speed and expertise I'm sure the dr's couldn't go with out her.dr.tarnoff was away after my surgery teaching , but had his associates follow me mostly the residents who were great the team approach really worked well

I have not met with Dr. Tarnoff yet, as I have just started with the OCC at NEMC. My intake appt. is August 12, 2003 with the phsychiatrist. The first step has begun.

I met with Dr. Tarnoff on 10/22. He was very informative, pleasant, and helpful with all of my questions. Now the wait for insurance approval is on. I think this is the hardest part before the surgery--the waiting!

My First impression of Dr Tarnoff was very good. I had wanted to go with another surgeon just because of his back round (figured the more degree's the better luck id have)..Then i went to a monday nite meeting and i said no thats who i want..and it was Dr Tarnoff. I met with him in August for the first time. VERY friendly and just told you like it is.He went over the risk factors and explained it very through. Then he has patients take a quiz to make sure they fully understand what was just being said to you. I liked that alot! Has a very good bedside manner and just a fantastic surgeon. He's done so much for me and doesnt even know it. His office staff is great. Shes on the ball with everything and just very sweet. I would recommend him and his staff to anyone who is looking for the surgery. New England Medical Center has one of the best pre & post op care..group wise and just a great team!

I felt very comfortable with Dr. Tarnoff from or first meeting. He took his time to ensure that I understood what I was getting myself into and was very open to answering any questions I could think of. His staff is efficient and returns phone calls in a timely manner. My surgery went extremely well, and I saw Dr. Tarnoff once or twice a day while I was an inpatient. His bedside manner was excellent, and I felt safe knowing how closely he was following my recovery.

Dr Tarnoff Is a very nice man I didn't really meet with him enough to get to know him but he is seems decent! The after care NEMC was not as good as I expected , the pre-op support is incredible, but it seemed like once the surgery was performed i was no longer a n interest, the floor where I endeed up was loaded with some really ill people and the nurses were more concerned about their case load than my recovery, I requested to leave early so i could go home and get more care!! The pain maagment was limited, i am very sensitive to narcotic drugs and they weren't willing to work hard to find better pain meds, until they were pushed.
