Michael Lara Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

I found Dr Lara to be very personable. I felt comfortable with him right away and felt confident in his abilities as a surgeon. Lori, Blanca and Norma are all very friendly and helpful. Everyone there at Del Sol Bariatric seem very caring. I think what I have liked least is that sometimes you have to wait for a long time since he gets called into emergency surgeries. Dr Lara and his office stress the importance of aftercare. It is made very clear that if the maximum advantage is desired of this surgery, the aftercare is of the utmost importance. I think they could be a bit more accommadating for out of state patients. Would have liked to have the confirmation of the surgery date be easier. Dr Lara does go over the risks involved in the surgery. He is open to questions but I have researched this for so long the risks weren't anything I didn't already know. I would recommend Dr Lara and his staff to anyone wanting to go through this. I think surgical competence is most important and his numbers look very good. I think that if he didn't seem so busy, like the day at the seminar, he could be compassionate. As his practice grows they are going to have to make some changes to help things go smoother and easier for the out of state patient so they can make the necessary arrangements.
