Of course just like the other ladies my first impression is that he is not bad on the eyes so it will be easy to make all my appointments (light humor). But he was very honest and thorough which are traits I look for in any professional. Dr. Green does not beat around the bush and told me exactly what I needed and what it would take for me to get better. Our time has been limited as my surgery inquiry date and range of preoperative care was about 6 months. Dr. Office staff was very helpful as my insurance company sometimes were a challenge. However,we worked through it. Patients should know that he is very straight forward so just ask and that he encourages you to stay connected to his aftercare program or one of your choice. As for risk of the surgery Dr. Green and his staff will make sure that you know every step of the way what you will experience. On a scale of 1-10 I would give him a 8.75 as we all have room for improvement and this would be more so on follow up from staff then Dr. Green. As for which is better, surgical competence or bedside manner. His surgical competence remains to be seen as I am only 3 days out. I can say that I feel great very little pain or discomfort so if that is any indication of he competence I would say excellent because I was expecting a little more discomfort. So I would say Dr. Green is great and if I would have to do it again I would choose him and his staff.
Dr. Green is the best thing that happened to me. He listened to my concerns and helped me sort through them. He wasn't sure if I could have non invasive surgery but told me he would try. He was able to do it. I had had a previous surgery and he didn't know what he would encounter. He is the best and his staff are great. He talked about all the things that could go wrong and right and really put me at ease. I had a great outlook going into the surgery. The support group is great. I had my surgery in Dec.and have lost 77 lbs. My colestrol and blood pressure are both down. Thank You, Dr. Green

I was impressed with my surgeon. The first time I met him ,I liked him.I knew of 7 other people who had been to him and they all liked him also.I live 6 hours away and he was very helpful at arranging for a lot of the work up to be down in my area.
His office staff were very nice and well organized, They were kind and so helpful. If I called about something, they called me back befor the day was over.
He is a fine surgeon. I also heard this from the nurses at the hospital. He did me a fine job and I would recomend him to anyone.
He provided me with great after care including a book that had step by step instructions, what to expect, when to begin eating what ,first grocery list, and lots more.I also got a bear with a surgeons outfit, to hold on my tummy on the way home.I was very impressed.

04/27/09 I had another chance to meet with Dr. Michael Green. I met with him a few years back when I had a different insurance. But he has not changed at all. He is still just as confident as before, and he still has that great sense of humor but yet still on top of his game. I still feel as though I made the right choice choosing him as my surgeon. I had the opportunity of meeting some patients of Dr.Green, and they all had the same thing to say about him. \"They would do it all over again\". ******************************
~AN UPDATE~
I actually had my RNY on Jan.20, 2010 and I still have the same Great things to say about Dr. Green. I would do it all over again if I had too. It was the BEST DECISION I have made. I would recommend him to ANYONE, you will not be disappointed.
Dr Green is an incredible bariatric surgeon. I wish he was my primary care doctor. He is so kind and thorough. His staff was a reflection of his attitude, just wonderful. He and his staff continue to ask after my welfare through letters and phone calls as well as visits. There is a structured aftercare program. Dr Green has both surgical competence, bedside manner and he's kind. I rate him as the very best there is.
I loved Dr. Green. He literally saved my life! He is in his mid-thirties but I feel he knew his \"stuff\". He is actively involved in the entire process from doing his seminars to answering questions one on one. His office staff is professional and well versed in all aspects of the surgery and after care. As a matter of fact, his two \"right-hand\" girls have had the surgery themselves! I was so worried about having this surgery and researched it for three years. My search led me to Dr. Green because of his success rate and expertise. When you lay your life in someone's hands, you want to be certain you have chosen the best person to do the job. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
HE IS A VERY YOUNG GOOD LOOKING MAN.AT FIRST I THPUGHT THIS IS THE MAN THAT IS GOING TO PERFORM MY SURFERYIF I GET IT DONE, THEN HE ANSWER ALL MY QUESTION WITH OUT HESITATING.WHEN I WENT TO MY FIRST VISIT HIS STAFF WHERE TERRIFIC .THEY WHERE VERY NICE AND COURTEOUS. THEY MADE ME FEEL COMFY.rnTHERE WAS NOTHING I DID NOT LIKE ABOUT HIM OR HIS STAFF THEY ARE GREAT. ALOT OF THE STAFF HAD DONE OBESITY SURGERY SO THEY NEW HOW I FELT. THE FIRST VISIT HE TOLD ME EVERYTHING ABOUT THE SURGERY AND HE DID EMPHASIZE ABOUT THE PROS AND CONS OF THE SURGERY. AFTER THE SURGERY I SOON AS I FELT SOMETHING WEIRD I WOULD CALL AND THEY WOULD ANSWER MY QUESTION OR I WOULD LEAVE A MESSAGE AND THEY WILL CALL BACK QUICK.I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO EVERYBODY . HE IS YOUNG BUT, HE KNOWS HIS STUFF. I LOVE HIS HIM AND HIS STAFF FOR ALL THEIR HELP . THANK FOR MY NEW LIFE.rnrn
Handsome, very educated, cheerful, understaning.Great office staff very helpful.not much really dont have anything i dont like about him.he hasn't really mentioned it to me but his staff has.yes 1st &3rd wed of each monthly meetings.i asked several times he told the same thing pretty much, i wasn't worried.7-8.Both are important but i think the doctor should know his/her stuff about surgery first, then you can work with bedside manner.
Dr. Green seems like a good surgeon, and everyone seems to have nothing but positive things to say about him. He has answered all of my questions regarding the surgeon and seems very competent. rnrnI do, however, think he has some staff and scheduling issues that need to be handled. Appointments book sometimes over 6 months in advance for routine consultations (read: if you're a new patient, you may have to wait a really, really long time to start the surgery process). Once you do start the process, communication with his staff seems somewhat difficult at times -- it's almost as his staff is stretched too thin to handle the number of patients.rnrnAnyway, staff issues aside, he does have an aftercare program setup and he does emphasize it. He addresses the risks of surgery numerous times. I haven't had the surgery yet, so I don't have many comments on his bedside manner. I'll update after I have the surgery.
