Michael L. Green, Jr. Bariatric Surgeon MD, FACS

I cannot say enough about Dr. Green. I really like him and think he is a top notch surgeon. I was very apprehensive about having surgery and he patiently answered all my questions. He is a good combination of encourager and taskmaster. He will hold you accoutable to the plan and will ask you pointed questions about whether you are following his instructions which I really need. I also was very encouraged when I had two nurses in the hospital comment about how much they liked him and that he is one of the best surgeons there. They told me his patients rarely have complications. My experience with him was at Doctor's Hospital at White Rock Lake. I know he works primarily out of Ft. Worth so the Doctor's Hospital location can get a little busy and back up easily but his coordinator, Earline, is great. Craig, the dietician, is great and Dr. Green's PA is wonderful. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top notch surgeon that knows his stuff, cares about his patients and isn't afraid to hold your feet to the fire if you aren't doing what you are supposed to do.

I went to Dr Green's Dallas location at Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake. I appreciated the staff there and it was nice to see Dr. Green face to face when I went in for my consult. My surgery was 12/2/13 and it went fantastic. What I appreciated most about him and his staff was that I was not just number or a paycheck. They genuinely listened and answered every question to the fullest and I actually got to know him as my doctor that cares - not the guy that shows up on the surgery date and lets everyone else handle the office aspect of it. Also, Earline, the nurse/office manager is such a sweetheart and always responded to my emails and calls in a timely manner.
I had surgery 4 months after consult and had every test, evaluation, scope, sonogram, sleep study etc super fast and once completed, the paperwork went to the insurance the same day they received the last information. Super fast!!!

Personally I think that Dr. Green is a wonderful physician. It is his lackadaisical office staff that are hurting his practice. Competition in the FDW metroplex is fierce, so physicians have to staff their practice with competent, knowledgeable and compassionate staff. I sensed that all was not well when I had my initial visit and one of the office staff mentioned to me that she and the rest of the office staff had just returned from an office retreat that Dr. Green sent them on. This is commonly a sign that the physician is attempting to regroup his staff in hopes that they will do better. Well it is obvious that it did not work. The young lady that works at the receptionist desk was truly the only employee that was able to answer the questions that she can, and is very pleasant when I come into the office. Dr. Green and his PA Kristin have wonderful bedside manner, and are a pleasure to deal with. I have found that Wendy H., Michelle V., and Roslyn are not very helpful. They either do not get back with you, or if they do they pass the responsibility to another person. Maybe Dr. Greens hands are tied in the fact that he has to use Baylor AllSaints staff for his practice. I wonder when he moves to his new building if he is going to hire the staff that he needs and not the ones that are forced upon him? Overall Dr. Green is a talented surgeon and Kristin is a sweet, caring PA.

Dr. Green did my surgery on December 17, 2012 since this I have lost 156 lbs and I feel great.
he is very handsome and very nice doctor, the only thing I would change is that he would have a closer office for me I have to drive an hour for the dallas location and 2 hours to the fort worth location

This was one of the most wonderful experiences in my life. His whole demeanor was outstanding. He actually listened to his patients. I have been to another wls practioner that had a speech rehearsed with all he encountered. Dr. Green spoke from the heart and his soul. He made us feel at ease and comfortable

I love Dr. Green . He is awesome,from the the first visit he said I would be a patient for life. I believe it. The whole office is there for you and anything you need. He will explain everything and is generally concerned of how you are doing.

I could't have asked for a better, more professional, wonderful surgeon! I love this guy! He did a super surgery, put up with my fears and my full sheet of questions, made time for me and never made me feel rushed. He had his life in my hands and I was comfortable that it was safe. His staff are all professionals (special kudos to Mary) and always willing to help me through the pre-op process and I know they will be there for me through the post-op phase. When I asked about him at the hospital, everyone had wonderful words to say about him. I would say he is extremely competent and had the perfect bedside manner, is very handsome and one of the sharpest dressers I've seen in a long time. I would rate him the best of the best!

Dr Green was a total professional. He has the best bedside manner of any doctor I know. He makes you believe you are his only focus and he is highly qualified to be a top surgeon in the country! My impression has only improved over time. The office staff is as high quality as Dr Green. The only thing I am sad about this doctor is that I didn't know him back years ago when my lap band surgery was botched. You should know Dr Green is loved by everyone I have ever heard speak of him. He is friendly, kind and genuinely interested in your health. Aftercare is very important to Dr Green. He has you sign a contract with him that you are as dedicated to your health as he has been in getting you there. After care is extremely structured. I feel like a part of my team. Dr Green answered all questions, got to know my history and thoroughly used his knowledge to personalize my surgery needs. I would rank Dr Green as an EXCELLENT!!! Both areas for Dr Green are superb!!!
This is MY experience. It could not have been better unless it had not snowed a torrential blizzard but Dr Green could not control that!

My first impression of Dr. Green was that he is a handsome well spoken young man. Over time, my impression of him did not change he is still the same. He is a very down to earth, knowledgeable Dr. I loved his office staff. Terri, which is the nurse in charge of the Bariatric program at Doctor's Hospital is the best ever. I like everything about Dr. Green and his staff. I have no negatives. The aftercare is great. I already have an appointment scheduled and everything is structured great. If I had to do it all over again, I would. He is the best ever. Surgical Competence and bedside manners were all great. I give him and his staff great rewards...

When I first met Dr. Green, the first thing that came to mind was eye candy. As I got to know him I learned how intelligent he is and that put me at ease. The only concern I had with Dr. Green is he looks so very young so I had reservations but as I stated earlier the more I got to know him my concern went out of the window. Dr. Green did not perform my gastric surgery, however, from the follow-up appointments I have had with him in my opinion he is an excellent surgeon for anyone thinking about having gastric surgery. Dr. Green listens to what I have to say and he tells me everything I need to do to remain healthy. I thank him for being my bariatric physician and his competence and bedside manner are outstanding, I give him 4 out 4 stars.
