Michael D'Almeida Bariatric Surgeon D.O.

One of the reasons I finally chose to have the surgery is because I have the utmost confidence in Dr. D'Almeida. He is a truly caring and extremely competent doctor. He gets an A+ in bedside manner.rnrnDr. D'Almeida's office is extremely efficient and knowledgeable - and helpful. Dr. D'Almeida explained in full detail the risks of the surgery - and my post-op care has been excellent.

Dr. D. is a very thoughtful and carring man. He shows that he loves all of us. I'm very glade that he was my surgeon and I'm alway
glad when I go and see him for my check ups.
The staff are very kind and thought group of young ladys and men.I never have anything that I did not like about him.He is very thuogh with the risks of the sugry and evething else that is with the surgry.

I loved my surgeon. He explained the procedure very well to me. I felt as if he really cared. He was always available when I had to ask a question. I could not have had a more supportive doctor. The staff at he office as well as the hospital was very thorough.

Dr. D'Almeida was great. I also had 2 partners in there with him. Dr. Hanks and Dr. Sheih. All fab.

Dr. D'Almeida is great in my book.

The staff is very professional and know exactly what they're doing. They are sympathetic, sincere and courteous.

I have had great care and aftercare with NESG and Dr. D. and feel totally secure in his hands.

He is very honest and up front. I had difficulty after surgery and he tried everything to help me. I didn't feel neglected at all.

I believe that the wait that I have endured was for a reason. I was thoroughly impressed with Dr. D'Almeida. He was very patient and thorough. He put my mother at ease when she accompanied me to my appointment.

Very sensitive to the challenges obese people face. He answered all of my questions and even let me play with all the instruments used during surgery. He is really rooting for us.
The staff was professional and competent.
Although i have never waited less than 40 min whenever I went to his office.
Dr. Hanks, who works in his ofice was on call at the hospital and was first notified of my condition. After several doctors came in my room asking me various health questions, yet not telling me anything, it was Dr. Hanks that came in sat on my bed and looked me in the eye and said i was having kidney failure, and i wasn't producing hemoglobin, and that my heart rate was dangerously high. I asked him what was next and he explained all the test I would have.
Dr. D'Almeida came to the hospital later that evening when i was still undergoing C.T scans to check on me.
i have only had one apt with him so far. But they do make sure you see a dietician and they stress WATER, WATER, WATER...

I was very impressed and suprised at the youngness of my surgeon, well nothing to worry about he is great, I have full confidance in his ability to be an expert in his work.The staff at northeast is great too. they are as helpful as can possibly be and are friendly as well.What I liked best about Dr Dalmeida was that he makes me feel like I am the only patient he has and always takes the time to make me feel comfortable. future patients should know that he pays great attention to detail and is always making sure that you as the patient are fully educated about the surgery. he goes into great detail about after care and making sure you have an understanding of the risks aswell as the benifits of the surgery.I am so far very impressed with my surgeon nd place my life in his hands fully without reservations.I think a Dr. needs a combination of great skills and knowledge as well as a good bedside manner.

Dr. D'Almeida is partners with Dr. Hanks. My first impressions were that he was very professional. He took alot of time to explain the procedure and all of the risks. He answered all of my questions and has been very supportive. His office staff has not always been quite so helpful. He promotes getting involved with support groups. I think he is a great doctor.

First Impression? A very Patient man.
Did My Impression change? No it only deepend.
Hows his Office Staff? Wonderful. Their a cheering team on their own.
What did I like least about him. Absolutely nothing! He has every quality I was looking for.
Future patients? It would be their loss if they did not continue the program with him, because their not going to find a more dedicated humble doctor.
Aftercare? Its a very stong issue with me and I can see that Dr. D'Almeida is making every effort to enhance this part of their program.
Structured Aftercare Program? To some degree, but not where I personally think it needs to be. See above remarks.
Risks.-Like any other surgery, they do happen. Im living proof of that.I went into this surgery with my eyes wide open. There was disillusion as other may think.
How Would I rate Dr. D'Almeida? I would put the life of my most precious loved ones in his hands with complete ease.
Which is better, surgical competence, bedside manner or both? I couldnt tell you, I was fortunate enough to have it all.
