Very friendly. Knowlegable and listened!
My impression has changed just my questions. His office staff is great - makes you feel welcome part of a group of friends. It isn't that I dislike any thing about him, I just want / need more details on what to eat. Like a sample menu. I need to find a way to ask this question so he could answer for me. He and his staff stress all the aftercare prior to your surgery. His staff has classes at 1, 3 and 6 weeks post op. He reviewed all the risks of surgery. You take a 'quiz' prior to surgery and reviews this with you to insure you are clear of the risks and what is expected of you to be successful. I would recommed him and his staff to others. How every reminding them to ask questions until you understand the answer. I feel he and his staff, at times, forget that we are beginners. One of his staff memebers, Kim came to see me prior to surgery as she rememebered I was scared! Then she came after I was in my room - this personal touch made the difference for me that day.
MY IMPRESSION WAS THAT HE WAS A PERSON WHO GENUINELY CARED ABOUT ME AND MY SUCESS.
THE IMPRESSION HAS NOT CHANGED
THE OFFICE STAFF WAS GREAT AND VERY HELPFUL
I THINK THE PART THAT I LIKE THE LEAST ABOUT THE DR. WAS THAT HE SEEMED TO BE VERY BUSY ALTHOUGH HE STILL HAD TIME TO SPEND WITH ME
PATIENTS SHOULD KNOW THAT HE DOES CARE AND IS COMMITED TO YOUR SUCESS
HIS AFTERCARE IS GREAT AND VERY STRUCTURED
AS WITH ANY SURGERY HE GIVES ALL THE INFORMATION NEEDED BEFORE THE FINAL DECISION IS MADE
I WOULD OVERALL GIVE THE DR. A RATING OF 10 OUT OF 10
AND BOTH BEDSIDE MANNER AND SURGICAL COMPETENCE ARE VERY IMPORTANT
At first impression, Dr. Snyder seemed very personable and very competent in his abilities to perform the gastric bypass procedure. This impression has not changed over time. He is very concerned with safety during surgery and he literally does everything to cut down on any risk to the patient. His office staff are very kind and punctual. They have always returned a call when they said they would. It is hard to say what I like least about Dr. Snyder. I did have a little trouble with his obsession on preventing any complications. I did not want to stop my birth control pills and he insisted that I do because of a risk of blood clots during and after surgery. It was hard for me to let go of that safety net. I truly believe Dr. Snyder is the best gastric bypass surgeon in Colorado. Future patients should know that he pays an extraordinary amount of attention to each of his patients and expects a life long commentment from each of them. Dr. Snyder's whole approach to surgical weightloss is based on his aftercare. He has put together a wonderful support team to guide you through post-op through the next decades of your life. Dr. Snyder is very open about the risks of surgery and has devised plans to reduce the risks in any way humanly possible. I am very impressed with the program Dr. Snyder has set up. I initially had planned to go with a different surgeon who had privlages at the same hospital as my OB/GYN because I needed to have a gynological procedure done at the same time. After hearing Dr. Snyder speak and talking with one of his other patients, I opted to have two separte surgeries so that Dr. Snyder could perform my surgery. I believe surgical competence is more important than bedside manner, but I value a good bedside manner. Thankfully, Dr. Snyder has an abundance of both!
As I'm sure everyone who has come onto this site knows, Dr. Snyder is a terrific surgeon. I would advise anyone who can to use him if at all possible, even if it requires changing your insurance. I liked him from the very first and nothing has changed. He is accessible to his patients and has a very nice, knowledgeable staff. Besides being a very nice guy he is a terrific surgeon. This, of course, is the most important thing and I had no apprehensions about putting my life into his hands. He and his staff do terrific follow-up care. In fact, I think this is more important to them than the actual surgery. They want to see us get the results we want and that requires a lot of aftercare. He certainly tells you all the ins and outs of the surgery (as well as providing a very thorough notebook on the subject) but lets you know that while there are risks your chances are much better with the surgery than without. He puts you at ease and made your feel very comfortable with your decision. He addressed all of my concerns (and believe me there were quite a few) and I went home feeling very at peace about the whole thing.
I believe his terrific surgical abilities are the most important thing, I mean you gotta get through the surgery in the first place, but his followup care and bedside manner was great. As you can probably tell I would rate him absolutely tops in his field. I know this seems a little unreal in saying all these positive things but they are absolutely how my entire procedure has gone. I honestly can't say that I have had a single negative experience.
DR. Snyder is very kind and always takes his time to talk to you. Everyone in his office is great and Beth is available 24 hous a day!! Dr. snyder does not mess arround if he tells you something you had better do it. He is really big on fallow up and he makes himself available for his out of town patients. He is very paticular on his processes and everyone that wants the surgey will not get it.
I was/am very impressed by Dr. Snyder. I had some post-op problems and he was immediately responsive. The only trouble that I have encountered is that much of the information I am given does not apply to lab band patients. As he does more and more of these procedures I am sure that will change. I would have liked more post-op information that applied to me.
Dr. Snyder is a very up beat and friendly doctor. He is very open with you and you can ask any questions that you may have. He dose not make you feel rushed. All his patients love him and his staff. Everyone is very nice and caring. Dr. Snyder does not make you feel like less of a person because you are overweight, he understands. He has a great support group established that meets regularly before surgery and after surgery. The support group encourages you to attend on a regular basis as this helps you be successful with your surgery and life after surgery. Dr. Snyder is very open about the risks of the surgery but also the risk of carring excessive weight that can not be controlled by diet alone. My experience has been a very positive one.
