Dr. Fitzer is a very kind man, and very honest. I liked that he was easy to talk to and he goes straight to the point, no beating around the bush. All the girls in the office were so kind & understanding. I feel very lucky to be in their care. They really made me feel comfortable, and thats hard to do with me right now. I am very lucky to be in their care, I can't wait to get the surgery over with & start fresh. I'm very grateful for this new journey in my life.
I will meet him July 17th..Well after meeting him , I was impressed with his professionalism. His matter of fact , understanding and knowledge made me feel I was in Great hands. He was thorough in making sure I understood everything. Looking forward to surgery next week....Ok little scared too but who isnt?
I was so excited when I got my approval papers. I had to travel to Utica to see the surgeon. My first impression was is he young. He reassured me that I was in good hands and he had done this before. He was friendly and asked about how I would be travelling for surgery. I told him I would be going by myself and I was impressed with his compassion. After the surgery which was done April 8th which was Easter weekend and he came to the hospital even on Easter Saturday to discharge me. After care was done very well. I have seen him at 3 weeks post op and 3 months. I am going to Utica for my 6 month check up in a couple of weeks. He answers all of my questions and adressed all of my concerns. I would recommend Dr Fitzer as being competent in all aspects of WLS. Both his surgical competence and bedside manner are great. The staff at the office answer any questions that I may have.
I had my consult in February.
I thought Dr. Fitzer was great. he doesn't try to white wash things. they are what they are and he is no-nonsence about it without being an ass.
The staff at the office are wonderful and friendly.
Dr. Fitzer stressed the importance in aftercare and how important it was to follow the rules as well as follow up appointments. He went over all the risks of surgery in great detail so that I am well informed in making my decisions.
after meeting Dr. Fitzer and the other staff members I have no doubt that this is the surgeon and the surgery for me.
I have to admit that my first impression of Dr Fitzer was not a good one. We didn't get off on the right foot. rnrnHe is very qualified and good at what he does and cares about the outcome of the surgery and the patients health.rnrnHe explains the process in detail and ensures you are prepared for what comes after. rnrnHis staff are excellent and take well care of you.rnrnI would definitely recommend him to others thinking of having WLS.
Doctor Fitzer is a young down to earth doctor. He has a very caring bed side manner straight to the point. Although I have only just met Doctor Fitzer and his team, I feel I'm in very good hands. His team is very caring and supportive. I'm looking forward to having them on my team! I am confidant that the support and post op care I will require will be there. I feel they will be much like family.
Dr. M Fitzer is a good doctor. He's pretty straight forward and doesn't mess around. Doesn't smile much. He addressed the risks of surgery very well and made some really strong points about following the post op diet to the T for the first 3 weeks. Very concerned about the pouch rupturing and I appreciate his seriousness. rnSurgical competence is a must for me. I couldn't care less about whether or not he told me jokes to make me comfortable. If he can't preform the surgery what's the point.rnMind you a nice smile goes a long way.
