I was so very impressed with Dr. Warnock's knowledge and sensitivity. He was never to busy to answer any of my questions or concerns. I am just as impressed now as I was when I first talked with him. His office staff is so friendly. He sat with me before I left the hospital and had a long talk with me about what I needed to do in the coming week before I come back for my appointment. I would recommend Dr. Warnock 100% to anyone who is looking for a compasionate surgeon and his staff at the hospital are all so friendly and knowledgeable about this type of surgery and knew the answers to all of my questions and were so nice and caring and professional. Janet, Dennis, Jolene, and Lizz were some of the nicest people I have ever met.
My first impression of Dr. Warnock was " What a Blessing ". I met with Dr. Warnock on July 23, 2003. When he came in the room he was very gentle and soft spoken and called me by my first name. The whole time he was speaking with me he comforted me by patting my hand and he always had eye to eye contact with me while speaking. He throughly explains the procedure and the benefits and risks involved and even drew a picture of how he would do the surgery. Future patients should know that Dr. Warnock will not do surgery on anyone who smokes and refuses to quit and he may ask you to lose some weight prior to surgery. Dr. Warnock also requires that you meet some of his post-op patients and he has a message board where you can ask any question you like. Dr Warnock provides a booklet with post-op instructions and also gives you his home number in event of an emergency or if you have urgent questions. Dr. Warnock cares about each patient as an individual and I was never rushed during my consultation. Dr. Warnock does have a structured after care program as well. I was very pleased with Dr. Warnock's office staff. They were pleasant and always returned my calls. I would rate Dr. Warnock the a 10.
My first impression of Dr. Warnock was that he has the best bedside manners to give to any of his patients. His office staff are great people and work very hard to get everything done that is needing to be done for this surgery. There is nothing that I would like least about Dr. Warnock. I think that everyone should know that if you are interested in haveing this surgery done please do as Dr. Warnock asks pray about it and it will happen if it is meant to be. Follow his after care instructions and you will heal great. I think that Dr. Warnock out of a scale between 0-10 he is a 10. Thank you Dr. Warnock for giving me life again and to cherish it with my son you are a great Doctor and Friend.

Dr. Warnock is an excellent surgeon. He has addressed all of my concerns completely. His office staff is friendly and always helpful. His aftercare has so far been very thourough. My advice to his patients is to make sure and take a list of your concerns or questions when you go for an appointment. He is a very busy man and always in a hurry. A list will help you to remember all your questions when you are there. But, even though he is so busy, he always takes time to do a great job! Thank you Dr. Warnock.
My fist impression of Dr. Cribbins was just like alot of other people. He was so young and GOOD LOOKING. He didn't have a lot to say or maybe I just didn't ask the right questions. I told him that I wanted the gastric bypass and he said that I should have the open adjustable lap band. Well I reckon that since he is the doctor he should know best. Anyway I really wish I knew which was better in the long run. As for the office staff, they were alright. When you first go in at least. but then when you get denied by your insurance company they send you a letter telling you that you were denied and basicly your on your own. You would think they would've stood behind thier prosective patients but NO not them. They offer no after care and so that was not discussed. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate him a 5 and his staff a 2. I am currently trying to get a consult with another doctor. Well I have seen DR. WARNOCK and he is the best. He takes his time in talking to you and makes you feel like you are special. Even though you know your not. And Debbie is just a sweetheart. The other receptionist is really nice to. I would recommend my own family members to use him so hemust b good. He is very spiritual and sincere. He really emphasizes aftercare. I would rate him a 10+ on a scale of 1-10. These are just my personal impressions of my own personal experiences and I am making no statements about what other people may experience.
Met Dr. Warnock last week for my inital consultation. I had to wait an additional hour for my appointment due to a hospital emergency. Met some lovely people who had surgery in lobby as I was waiting, so the time was no big deal and I learned alot!
Dr. Warnock and staff appeared to be very caring and knowledgble. Dr. Warnock gave his pat speech on the surgery and yet, peppered it with personal questions that made you feel special and not just another bariatric patient.
Debbie was efficient and said she would mail my insurance papers off this week and the surgery may not be till August.
Today might not be a good day for me to give my assessment of Dr. Applebaum.
I had an appointment on 2/25. I dorve the 50 miles to be told that he had been called away. I had a cell phone and his office had the number. They gave me an appointment for 2/26/03.
I arrived for the appointment yesterday and was called into a conference room by a member of Applebaum's billing staff. She informed me that as of 1/1/03, Applebaum has become a part of a new surgical team and is no longer in the BC/BS network. For the lap RNY, his fee is $6,180. Enough said about that. While he came out to the counter and said hello, I did not go back and meet with him. Needless to say, I would not refer anyone to him! His staff later called me to ask if I was still interested in the surgery and if I was going to work to "come up with the money." The above are MY opinions.
My surgery will be performed by Kenneth Warnock in Wichita Falls, TX. During my visit he appeared warm and caring. I feel completely at ease and confident in my decision, even though I will drive 12 hours to see him.
