Dr. Chebli was very pleasant. He and staff seem eager to help. I feel he is
well trained and knowledgeable.
POST-OP
Dr. Chebli is a 1st rate surgeon and a very caring and thorough man. He runs a great"show" in that every one on his team is of great expertise also. His office staff is there to help you thru the process, the nutritionist is up to the minute in her information and teaches it very well, there is a pre and aftercare support system in place at Inova Fair Oaks...just use it! This surgeons program is the type that hopefully will become the 'norm' for all involved with bariatric surgery. The horror stories would decrease and great results would go up as would the confidence of insurance companies.
I had it all with Dr. Chebli..surgical competence, bedside side manner supreme and easy post surgical access!!!!A#1

My first impression of Dr. Chebli was very good. He went in depth about the risks, and told me the pros and cons of the lap band verses the Roux-en-y. I desided on the Roux-en-y gastric by-pass surgery through the lapriscopic method. His office staff was very supportive, and everytime I have called to ask a differnet question that I forgot to ask in my doctor's visit they do not seem to be annoyed.

I met with Dr. Chebli on November 3, 2004. Very impressive doctor. He is very confident, genuine and not errogant at all. He took the time to speak to a friend of mine and me. We were his last appointment for the day, but he was not going to shortchange us.

His office staff is very helpful. I have already received a call from his office staff to get the info faxed to them from my doctor! How exciting!!!!

Dr. Chebli will be doing the lap rue n y surgery. I am looking at having it done around February 18, 2004.

His office emphasizes aftercare and offers support groups, etc.

I am very pleased with his surgical competence, but also, he seems very personalble and genuinly interested in helping me out!

I am very excited!

My consultation with Dr. Chebli on 10/27/04. I brought my mother with me.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Upon meeting Dr. Chebli, I was quite impressed. As this was my second consult for bariatric surgery, I didn't have too many questions. However, he was happy to answer any to answer any questions that my mom or I had. He was also very knowledgable about the surgery as well as my insurance.

Dr. Chebli is very thorough and complete. He went over everything in detail and made me feel confident in my decision to have surgery. Also makes sure by ordering necessary tests, etc., to ensure that you are a good candidate for surgery. His office staff is great, especially Sue. She got my approval in no time, helped with information on all my pre screening and even took out my staples! I am very happy with the care I was given and would recommend him and staff to anyone looking into this type of surgery. He also keeps you in line and gives encouragement to make sure you're exercising as you should!

Dr. Chebli was very professional and knowledgable about the surgery. He was very thorough in explaining the procedure and made me feel very comfortable. He also went over the risks of the surgery and was very upfront.

As time went on I found him to be very cautious and caring and always going that little extra step to make you feel comfortable. He was always concerned with any questions and how I felt about what was going to happen.

His staff was wonderful. So helpful with the insurance claims and any questions I would call and ask about. They, too, we very knowlegable.

Dr. Chebli is a very caring doctor. He listens and is very concerned about his patients. His bedside manner is wonderful. He was at the hospital everyday visiting.
There are programs at the hospital that Dr. Chebli is associated with and they are very helpful.

Dr Chebli was very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the start. He was very helpful in what type of surgery was best for me. My impression has not change what so ever about him. His office staff helpled me with any questions I had. They took the time to explain all the test that I would need to setup. I can't say there is anything that I dislike about Dr.Chebli. He is very direct and to the point. I like that in a Dr. He tells you what needs to be done on your part before the surgery. He has a book that is given to you with all your directions that need to be done by you. How the surgery is done and what needs to be done afterword. Overall I would have to say I feel very lucky to have him as my Dr.
I can't answer to the bedside manner part, but hope he is as nice as he was in the office. IM looking forward to having this done and will do everything on my part to make this a success.

When I met Dr. Chebli, I knew I made the right choice. Quite honestly, I chose him because he was in my insurance plan, but I soon found out he is the type of man I can work with. Dr. Chebli knows his business and does not allow half steps. He is most concerned with his patients coming out of this process with the health to truly begin life anew. If you think you can slide by with him, or half step on the things he has you do, forget it. My impression is he will forgoe doing a surgery on someone who is not sincerely ready and dedicated to doing this the right way. That approach worked really well with me and I felt I had to work hard to get to the best place possible to have this surgery. From start to finish, he is A-1.

Surgery day, he was right there, bright early and strong. I felt very confident in his hands. I knew I had the easy part of going to sleep and leaving the work (of the surgery) up to him. He visited me twice in the hospital and when I called him two days after my release with a swollen belly, he had me come in right away. Turns out I was retaining fluids so he was able to address this right away. He listens and truly truly cares about people making this important transition and seeing it for the BIG step it is. His information packet was huge and informative. His office staff is INCREDIBLE. Sue is a swiss army knife of a woman! Not only did she manage all my insurance stuff, she also removed my staples today and really knows how to encourage and challenge you at the same time.

If you are ready, and even if you have doubts and fears, trust me, you want this doc and his team in your corner. I was also impressed with the obvious rapport between Chebli and the hospital staff at Fair Oaks, they clearly have loads of respect for the man. As do I.

After care is very structured and he is very clear about what you need to do to have this surgery be a success for you. He does the starting gate, then its up to you to see it through but believe me, he will tell you how each step of the way. I am sticking to what he prescribes for me to do in terms of eating and drinking, and not taking half-measures. I cannot believe I had major surgery just days ago. Other than the water retention, which he addressed today, I feel better than I felt pre-surgery. His insistence on meeting with dietician and a rather long dietary class is really very important. You need visuals! When I saw a table spoon of food, I truly began to understand.

I went in as a patient, I came out as a believer.
