I was going to have the Lapband by Dr Webber and changed my mind about 3yrs ago. I want the sleeve. I'm ready and I want Dr Webber. I need to register for the next presentation.

Dr. Webber did my surgery in 2008. I had MAJOR complications, none of which were his fault. Just bad luck. I sought him out because he's the best of the best as far as surgery.

BE WARNED: He'll treat you then street you. After care sucks. His dietician is sorely outdated with her information and he doesn't seem to care.

They do have a support group that meets downtown Detroit once a month. Too far for me to drive.

Harper Hospital had the worse staff ever. My care was awful. Nobody knew how to care for a gastric bypass patient and I waited TWO HOURS once for anyone to answer my nurse call to fix my IV.

If you have complications he does call you personally. He promised me he'd visit daily and did even if for a minute. He's busy so ramble the questions off a list when you see him! His understudies do the grunt work and they are amazing students. You can trust them. They've studied under the best.

So if you want the best surgeon, he's your man. But get support for after care elsewhere.

My first impression of Dr. Webber was great. he was friendly and informative. His appointments are very quick though, so if you have questions you should right them down so you don't forget them.

During Surgery I only saw Dr. Webber once, that was right before surgery. He didn't do any of my follow up care in the hospital. His partners did all of that, but they were wonderful.

After I went home I had some complications and I was able to speak DIRECTLY to Dr. Webber on the phone which was amazing to me. He helped me with my issue, and I saw him the following week. That appointment I felt rushed, but he could have been having a bad day, and I definitely was.

The next 2 appointments I was able to ask all of my questions and he was the same friendly informative doctor that he was when I had met him.

The office staff so far has been wonderful, they always return my phone calls, and they have worked with me very well, before and after surgery!

Well my Surgeon is young and just thinks his stuff dont stink, very arrogant. I do want to thank him for doing a great job on my surgery and he did not open me all the way.
But what turned me off about him was after when he completely just ignore me and my mom while we was talking to him just walked away and nurse. No good bedside manners either. Way to go Dr Webber . MY rate for you would be a 5 right now. Your staff have now manners either. and the hosptial stay it sucked I would never ask any of my friends or family to stay at this Hospital. Never.

I haven't met him yet. Will let you know my personal impression.rnHis credentials are excellent, and so is his experience. His place on the Mortality committee tells me doesn't get call before them often.

I read all the previous reviews, and was surprised, I guess. I saw Dr. Webber for a total of, I would say, 30 seconds while I was in prep. Didn't see him after I recovered, didn't see him in my room, and saw the \"residents\" for about a minute on my last day in the hospital. I am not sure what to attribute this to, other than I flew in to Detroit, and had already attended a seminar and had all my tests done before I got there. I was disappointed in that respect, but so far have had no problems with the surgery. Let's hope my follow-ups are more satisfactory.

I met with Dr. Webber 2/14/03. I had several questions, which he took the time and patience to answer fully. He was friendly, open, and easy to talk to. One thing that I really like about this surgeon is that he performs his surgeries with another surgeon, Dr. Carlin, both highly trained. They will both be there during surgery, which increases my confidence level that much more. They are both youngish and energetic and seem to really enjoy helping people and improving upon their knowledge and expertise. rnHis staff was friendly and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. They have the right idea for patient support - they offer an intro seminar which was informative and gave us an opportunity to meet the surgeon, dietician, and program manager. They have a support group for pre and post ops which is excellent. Plus the on-staff dietician gets rave reviews in her support for post -op patients. I'm glad I made the decision to go to Dr. Webber and Dr. Carlin - now comes the trials of trying to get insurance approval! rnrnDr. Carlin is surgical partner to my surgeon, Dr. Webber. Dr. Carlin facilitated the intro seminar that I attended and answered my many questions with honesty and patience.

Dr. Webber was patient and answered all my questions. He has been very helpful even after the surgery.

My first impression of Dr.Webber was he has a good spirit upon him that he loves his job and that whom ever is in his hands he will take good care of you.My impression of Dr.Webber will not change and he will be recommened by me any time.It wasn't anything least about Dr.Webber I didn't like he's just nice..Future patients should know that when Dr.Webber say's that you're in good hands trust his word because I was in the care of his hands and all I can say is that I'm feeling good and I don't have no pain..Dr.Webber emphasize aftercare really well because like I said I'm not feeling no pain and I'm doing just what he tells me to do to recover and to be healthy again..Yes Dr.Webber has a aftercare program..Dr.Webber address the risks of surgery by saying that follow the precidure and do as you told to do as of pre and post dieting and you will be fine..I would rate Dr.Webber as a full100% doctor and his staff was awsome...Surgical competence and bedside manner are both great because I was comfortiable all while I was in the care of Dr.Webber and his staff..
