John Baker Bariatric Surgeon M.D.,F.A.C.S.

My first impression of Dr. Baker was I wanted to pick him up and throw him out the window. He goes way beyond the call of duty and makes you really think about your life and what you are getting into. It is almost to the point you want to cry. Here is a Skinny man telling you that you have failed at everything, so why is this going to be different. But this helped me come to terms with myself and realized hey this is a forever thing and not just some fad diet that I can do for a few weeks and quit.

On my pre-op appointment I could not ask for a better man. He was kind and considerate and was very wonderful He was a total different person..wonderful man.

His staff is wonderful. I couldnt ask for a better staff. His dietitian was nice, his secretaries were wonderful and his nurse is out of this world. Wonderful crew he has.

Dr. Baker is a wonderful man. Would recommend him for anything.

He was caring and I know he means well.

The staff was great and when I go back they always make me feel better about myself.

He is so slow getting to his patients when coming for a checkup.
He is a very good doctor.

Excessively! They are always getting on you to make sure you are doing things right!

Surgical competence..don't get me wrong he is a good doctor but there's just something missing in his bedside manner but he is nice.

I was very confident in his abilities as a surgeon. At first, he can be very intimidating. But it is because he genuienly cares and wants to make sure you understand what you are doing. His staff has been wonderful, they are all a treasure.

I haven't met him yet, but his office personal are real helpful. I hear he is great though.

He is a caring man who I tough but loving with his patients. He wants to be sure that you can succeed in this surgery.
He is willing to help. He does not seem to be in it just for the money, otherwise he would not take Medicare!:)
He is the kind of man that you can talk to and be honest with.

i am scheduled to have the surgery on 11/04/98. I have met two other people that are supposed to have this surgery with Dr. Baker.

I was refered to Dr. Baker by a friend, whose husband is a doctor. So i feel very confident in Dr. Baker. My friend and i have been friends for 18 years, so i know that she would only recommend the best. I will post after surgery and let you know how it goes.
