Knowledgable. To the point. Staff helpful and knowledgable. Everyone and everything worked together like a well oiled machine. Must follow up with labs. Risks are explained and discussed. Both surgical competence and bedside manner were great. Saw less of dr and more of nurse and others, but did not bother me. Surgery only took 45 mins and only in hospital 2.5 days. I followed the rules, however. Great doctor and great hospital. Dr. reqired education about surgery via meeting, etc. I was not warned about the extreme pain that I would have the first few days. That would have been nice to know.
Dr. Angstadt is wonderful! I met him when he did my Mom's Rou-en-Y. My impressionn has only gotten better. The office staff is awesome. Future patients will be very pleased with him. He stresses after-care, pre-op care, support groups, everything! He was very up-front about the risks. I give him a \"10\" in all areas. His reputaion for competence and bedside manner proceed him!
My first impression of Dr. Angstadt was he is handsome. I liked him when I heard him say \"diets don't work on Morbidly obese patients.\" When I met him he was very through and patient, and reassuring.rnHis office staff made me feel welcomed in the office, helpful. I can't think of anything I like least about Dr. Angstadt. He feels that after care and support is very important. Yes Memorial Health has a structured aftercare program that patients are encouraged to attend. Yes the risks of surgery are explained in detail at the information session. I would rate Dr.Angstadt very high. I think both are very important. I would think if I had to choice one, surgical competence would rate higher.
Dr. Angstadt, is a wonderful surgeon, with a great beside manner, however he is direct and to the point. I did my homework as well, and his schooling and training are TOP NOTCH. Keep in mind, he is rather busy so most of your interaction will come from the support staff (mainly Jody Hannah in my case), however the time I did have with Dr. A was very positive and ladies he does look a bit like Richard Gere! His asst. Dr. Whipple, joing the program last summer, and he has an amazing bedside manner and has had extensive training.rnrnI was very scared going into my surgery, and he truly made me feel confident and secure with my choice, my only regret regarding Dr. A, is that I didn't have more time with him.rnrnAs a future patient, have your questions ready because he is very busy, and your visits with him will be few. However, you can relax knowing that the support staff is more than confident, and will be there with you every step of the way.rnrnThe Memorial program is excellent, as long as you use the tools that are available. The support I received from Jody, the P.A is un measurable... I am proud to say I was Dr.Angstadts 102nd surgery, in August 2005 and as far as I know none of his surgery's to date, have resulted in any major complications. If you have any questions, please feel free to email [email protected]
Very good surgeon. Extremely diligent. Do not look to float through this program. Either you meet their criteria and do your part of the contract, or you will not be operated on. He is much more stringent on the aftercare than I have heard from others. rnrnAll of these are positives in my mind. I wanted a surgeon who would carefully evaluate me and determine whether or not this is the appropriate step for me. I did not want to be put through a \"Bariatric Mill.\" His PA Jodi is the bomb!! A bundle of energy. I feel like a valued partner in this program and not just another dollar in their pocket or a new statistic.rnrnDr Angstadt is probably quicker to open than others that I have heard of, but again I believe that is a positive that he is not willing to take a risk with his precious patients.rnrnExcellent bedside manner, and not bad to look at either!! I rate him a 10+!
Dr. Angstadt is great. I didn't see him very much through my process however his P.A. is wonderful. The office staff at Memorial Bariatrics couldn't be better. Several members of the team are bariatric patients themselves so they are so compassionate. The aftercare was wonderful as well, very structured. They offer comprehensive nutritional and exercise classes as well as several support options. I rate this physician and program 10+.
