My first impression of Dr. Marchesini was correct, he is very caring and concerned about his patients. He makes you feel completely comfortable and gives excellent care. His english is fluent. The Dr. addresses all risk and answers any concerns you may have. He is avalible by phone or e-mail before and after surgery for any questions or problems. His care doesn't stop with the surgery, or when you are dischared. While in Curitiba he will see you almost daily even at your hotel. You will receive everything you need for your PCP to pick up your basic care when you return. If there are any problems you or your PCP can contact Dr. Marchesini. As far as his staff I met his son, also a doctor, whom performed the endoscopic in their offices, I remember no discomfort from this. There are private duty nurses you can hire and that help at the hotel too. I had Durval, who is very good, sweet and funny. What do I like least about him or rate him. He's a 10 and I have no dislikes, except I disliked leaving a new friend. The care you receive with him you can not even begin to get in the U.S. I can not urge anyone enough if they are looking at surgery to look at Dr. Marchesini.
